Noted actor Aamir Khan, who is basking in the success of the recently released 'Dhoom 3', is in Panchgani along with his family.

Salman Khan is likely go to his Panvel farmhouse with family and friends to usher in the New Year.

Abhishek Bachchan, his wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya will be in Dubai on New Year. Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is out of jail on parole, will be celebrating the New Year with his family.

Deepika Padukone, who gave four back-to-back hit films this year, will be with her family, most likely in Mumbai. Shahid Kapoor, who tasted success after a long time with 'R...Rajkumar', will celebrate in Los Angeles with friends. Actress Sonam Kapoor has wrapped up the shooting for the remake version of 'Khubsoorat' and will celebrate New Year in

Deepika Padukone approached for Sooraj Barjatya's next with Salman Khan

Actress Deepika Padukone has been approached for a Sooraj Barjatya film starring Salman Khan.

The superstar will be teaming up with Sooraj Barjatya for a film after 14 years. Their last outing together was 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

"Sooraj ji met her (Deepika Padukone) at her party. Talks are on with her but nothing is finalised yet. Lot of actresses have interest in this film and he is meeting other actresses as well," said a source close to the development.

"We have not finalised anyone yet. Lot of speculation is happening over the heroine of the film. Things will be finalised in 15 days or so," the source said.

Several names have come up for the leading lady like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ileana D'Cruz, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Nargis Fakhri and others.

The yet to be titled film is likely to go on floors in June next year. The shooting might take place in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Even love birds, Tanisha-Armaan and Gauhar-Kushal Tandon's romantic act was shown at the gala.

The seventh season of the show went on air Sep 15 on Colors. It started with 14 celebrities, and later, five additional celebrities made wild card entries at different points during its run.

Unlike the other seasons, this time the house was initially divided into heaven and hell sections where the contestants were treated differently. Another living space called the Caravan, a motor vehicle, was introduced in the show.

But like every other season, even this one was embroiled in controversy. Armaan was arrested for allegedly assaulting British singer-actress Sofia Hayat. Her complaint was the result of an argument that broke out between the two and Armaan ended up hitting Sofia with a mop, which left her injured

Other controversies included Kushal being dismissed from the house due to his bad behavior and Gauahar following him out and then returning.

Big Win: Gauhar Khan wins 'Bigg Boss 7'

Model-turned-actress Gauhar Khan Saturday won the seventh season of "Bigg Boss" and took home the prize money of Rs.50 lakh and the trophy. She said now her aim is to attain super-stardom in showbiz

Gauhar, seen in films like `Game` and `Ishaqzaade`, wishes to gain super-stardom after the show.

"I wish this platform helps me gain super-stardom. There is a very different feeling when people start calling you a superstar. And that's what I want," Gauhar told IANS.

The grand finale was held at Lonavala, a hill station near Mumbai, where the "Bigg Boss" house was put up.

This is the fourth consecutive season that a woman has been crowned the winner after Shweta Tiwari, Juhi Parmaar and Urvashi Dholakia winning the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons respectively.

In the final round, the competition was between Gauhar and Tanisha. And their mothers were at the venue to support them.

Other finalists, who were vying for the title, were Ajaz Khan and wrestler Sangram Singh.

The grand finale turned out to be an extravagant affair with entertaining performances by Salman and the contestants.

Funnyman VJ Andy too took to the stage to entertain the audience with his performance on the title track of "Besharam". He was accompanied by Sangram and Ajaz.

Rs 100 crore divorce settlement false: Sussanne

Sussanne Roshan Saturday denied a media reports saying her divorce from Hindi movie star Hrithik Roshan is a Rs.100 crore settlement and said that its unethical to publish such false news.

`I was deeply disappointed when I read today's article titled 'Sussanne and Hrithik Roshan divorce: Rs. 100 crore settlement? There is no element of truth in the news and it is entirely speculative,` she said in a statement.

`It is unethical to publish false news and speculate on the private relationships of individuals,` she added.

Hrithik announced Sussanne's decision to end their marriage via an official statement Dec 13. Both dated for four years before finally tying the knot Dec 20, 2000.

The couple has two sons - Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

Sussanne says that they still have respect for each other and their focus remains the kids.

`Hrithik and I have always had the deepest respect for one and another. Our primary focus has and will continue to be our two children. I would yet again like to appeal that we are granted our privacy at this critical juncture in our lives,` she said.

"This is the first time Hari, Vishal and Shruti have come together. The film will go on floors after the completion of Vishal's ongoing project 'Naan Sigappu Manithan'," the statement read further.

Only 'O Teri' trailer attached with 'Jai Ho'

Contrary to reports, the trailer of David Dhawan's 'Main Tera Hero' has not been attached to Sohail Khan's 'Jai Ho'. At least 12 hotshot filmmakers-producers have requested birthday-boy Salman Khan (who turned 48 on December 27) and his brother Sohail for their respective film's trailers to be attached to 'Jai Ho'.

The Khan brothers have said yes to only one trailer. And that's Salman and Sohail's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's production 'O Teri', which incidentally, stars Salman's protege Pulkit Samrat.

As everyone knows there is a lot of bhaichaara in Salman Khan's attitude. And nowhere is this more evident than in his attitude towards his family. For Salman, family always comes first. If he has given priority in 2013 to his brother Sohail Khan's 'Jai Ho', he has also decided to attach the trailer of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's production 'O Teri' to 'Jai Ho'.

Contrary to reports that Salman and Sohail have green-lighted the trailer of David Dhawan's new film 'Main Tera Hero' starring David's son Varun, the only trailer that has been attached to 'Jai Ho' is that of 'O Teri'.

Confirming this, Sohail Khan says, "The only trailer that been confirmed to be attached with 'Jai Ho' is that 'O Teri'. We may have space for just one more trailer. Let me finish my film's post-production first. Then I'll decide whose trailer we can accommodate besides 'O Teri'."

A source close to 'Jai Ho' adds, "There is a lot of pressure on Salman and Sohail to attach trailers to 'Jai Ho' since it is a blockbuster even before release. But the film has turned out lengthy. And 'O Teri' being ghar ki baat, is likely to end up being the only trailer to be attached to the film."

Amitabh Bachchcan to do a Hollywood film again?

After a short appearance in Australian-American drama 'Great Gatsby', megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been again approached for a Hollywood film, which is an adaptation of Vikas Swarup's 'Six Suspects'.

Bachchan has been approached by BBC and Starfield productions to star in the movie, based on the 'Slumdog Millionnaire' author's yet another best selling novel.

It will be directed by award winning Argentinean filmmaker Pablo Trapero.

However, it is not clear what role Big B would play and if he would be giving his nod for the film or not.

Bachchan essayed a short role as Meyer Wolfsheim in 'Great Gatsby' in a small scene with Gatsby and his friend, played by Hollywood star Leonardo Di Caprio.

FAROOQ SHEIKH NO MORE WITH US

On Friday, veteran actor Farooq Sheikh passed away in Dubai after suffering a sudden heart attack. The actor who was born on 25th March 1948 died at the age of 65.

After completing all the formalities in Dubai, his body will be brought to Mumbai later in the day.

The actor had been a part of numerous famous films such as Satyajit Ray's ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’, ‘Chashme Buddoor’, ‘Kissi Se Na Kehna’ and ‘Noorie’. He had also been part of parallel cinema in the 1970s and 1980s.

'Garm Hava' (1973) was legendary actor’s first film in Bollywood and he was last seen in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' as Ranbir Kapoor’s father and recently released film ‘Club 60’.

He made a tremendous contribution in theatre and TV as well. He was the host of the famous talk show 'Jeena Isi ka naam hai' on television.

ABVP protests over parole to Sanjay Dutt

A group of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists protested outside the residence of Sanjay Dutt here Thursday over the recent parole granted to the actor.

The activists shouted slogans against Dutt and demanded that the month-long parole granted to the actor be cancelled and he should immediately be sent back to Pune's Yerawada Central Jail, said ABVP city secretary Yadunath Deshpande.

He said it was surprising how a person convicted for grave offences could be given parole twice in two months.

Deshpande alleged that the grounds of ill-health of Dutt's wife Manyata were not convincing as she was seen attending late-night film parties.

Mumbai police, which has deployed tight security outside Dutt's residence, arrested 15 activists, including ABVP national secretary Ashish Chauhan, but later released them.

Despite repeated pleas by the demonstrators, Dutt refused to come out and meet them or interact with media persons.

Dutt was granted a month-long parole last week - the second in two months - to care for his wife who is reportedly suffering from heart and liver ailments.

Actress Alia Bhatt was an early learner! She says she started dating in Class sixth, but explains that those relationships were harmless and innocent.

"I started dating in the sixth standard. That wasn't really dating. We'd used to just smile at each other from across the classroom," Alia said on popular talk show "Koffee With Karan".

Sofia Hayat to boycott Bigg Boss 7 finale

Former Bigg Boss 7 contestant and British actress-singer Sofia Hayat has decided to boycott the show's finale to be held on Sunday (December 29).

Sofia Hayat had filed a police complaint against fellow contestant Armaan Kohli for allegedly harassing her on the reality TV show, hosted by Salman Khan.

The actress, who is upset with the show's producers for not protecting a woman on the reality show, said: "Money nor fame are hugely important to me. Women deserve respect and protection. By not going to the finale im saying enough is enough!"

The actress, who has already left for London to celebrate New Year with family and friends, says she doesnt want be to on the finale as Armaan Kohli will also be present.

Veena Malik to host wedding reception in Dubai

Dubai: Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who has married businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak, will host a reception here Thursday evening for close friends and family members.
"Like her wedding, even her reception will be a private affair for her close friends and relatives. It will take place today evening in Dubai," a source close to the actress said Thursday.

Veena, who became a known name in India post her stint on the fourth season of reality show "Bigg Boss", entered wedlock Wednesday. She even took to Twitter to share a photograph showing her and her husband`s wedding band.

Veena married Asad Bashir, who runs businesses in Dubai and the US, in the Emirates Court here on Christmas day. They have been family friends.
