"Shuddhi will go on the floors very soon. The pre-production on this film is a tumultuous task because it's a very wide film with a large scale so it needs a lot of time," the filmmaker said at the cover launch of Filmfare's Glamour & Style issue.

"And Karan Malhotra, who is set to direct it, is releasing his film Brothers in August, so he will get into it right after that," he added.

The traditional green slime flowed at the Kids’ Choice Awards, but it was Angelina Jolie’s message of empowerment for youngsters that stuck.

Jolie, who has sought to inspire women with public candor about her own health, said that “different is good” as she accepted the favorite villain award Saturday for her movie role as the title character in “Maleficent.”

When she was young, Jolie said, “I was told I was different. And I felt out of place: too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in.”

“When someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up and be proud,” she said, then added with a wink, “cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”

The actress and filmmaker, who disclosed earlier this week that she had undergone additional surgery aimed at preventing cancer, received excited hugs from daughters Shiloh and Zahara when her name was announced.

Other winners at the Nickelodeon channel’s fan-voted awards included Emma Stone, who largely escaped its trademark slime when she accepted the best actress award for her role in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” and favorite family TV show “Modern Family,” whose stars including Jesse Tyler Ferguson didn’t get away clean.

Nick Jonas hosted the ceremony, which also honored the group Fifth Harmony as favorite new artist and Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1″ as favorite action stars. The film was voted favorite movie.

Jonas won as favorite male singer but also ended up drenched in the ceremony’s trademark green slime, as did Josh Gad (“Frozen,” Broadway’s “Book of Mormon”), who got slimed by co-presenter Adam Sandler.

Performers included Iggy Azalea with Jennifer Hudson and 5 Seconds of Summer, which ended up taking a goo hit.

Jonas opened the ceremony by noting that One Direction was minus a group member with the exit of Zayn Malik.

“A tough week. … Lot of girls in the house tonight still struggling after One Direction became Two Direction,” he said, then asked, jokingly, “What’s next? Fourth Harmony? 3 Seconds of Summer? No, no. The Jonas Brother?”

One Direction didn’t appear to accept its trophy as favorite music group.

Others taking part in the ceremony included Jamie Foxx, Meghan Trainor, Chris Rock, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Kevin James and Little League Baseball sensation Mo’ne Davis.

Deepika Padukone, who has made strong statements about women’s rights in a short video, is an example of a single woman who lives by her own rules and has fought against the odds in a male-dominated industry to reach her position, says the video’s director Homi Adajania.

Adajania’s over two-minute visual piece for Vogue is based on a powerful poem called “My Choice”, written by Kersi Khambatta. It talks about every woman’s right to equality and Deepika has not only contributed to the words and visual concept, but also lent her voice to the film.

“The film has been visually represented by moving portraits of 99 women in black and white who express themselves spontaneously to the lines narrated by Deepika,” said Adajania, who has earlier directed Deepika in films like “Cocktail” and “Finding Fanny”.

Sharing his journey of working with the actress, he said: “Deepika is totally in the film…I truly admire Deepika for the person she is.

I know the trials and tribulations she has faced as a single woman. She lives by her own rules, is dedicated to her craft and fights against the odds in a male-dominated industry to get and stay where she has.”

The concept was to shoot 99 urban women from most walks of life — author, actor, vegetable vendor, CEO, flower seller, marine-biologist, photographer, stylist, dancer, performer, tribal immigrants, fisher-woman, journalist and TV show host in the form of moving black and white portraits.

The filmmaker says that through the video, which has garnered over 2 million views on YouTube, he wanted to showcase “Indian women as strong, uninhibited and inspiring”.

“No amount is ever enough for creating awareness on women’s empowerment. In India, gross gender inequality has been around for so long that change has to begin with awareness and acceptance of the fact that it exists and that there is something very wrong about it. History has dictated a place for a man and a woman and what each has to do. But that’s history and I don’t find this necessary today.

“It is incredibly backward to live in a world where gender discrimination exists! Hopefully one day we will live in a world where discrimination based on gender will not exist and we will look back wondering what were people thinking… if they were at all,” he said.

Actor Vidyut Jammwal, who is most popular for his work in 'Commando', has confirmed he won't be part of filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh's next project, which will be based on the novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X', also featuring Saif Ali Khan and Kangna Ranaut.

"I didn't see myself in a film of this genre. I'd met Sujoy a few times but I hadn't signed any contract or committed myself to the film. It (the story) sounded interesting, but it just wasn't for me. Sujoy is a great director with an amazing sensibility and I'd like to work with him in the future," Vidyut said in a statement.

The actor has two films in the pipeline for release - 'Yaara', directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia opposite Shruti Haasan, the shoot of which is almost complete; and 'Commando 2', which will be produced by Vipul Shah and will start soon.

Talking about 'Yaara', he said: "I'm really excited about it. It's been a tremendous experience playing characters that span age groups across every aspect.

"The vibe on the sets is so positive and everyone is very upbeat about the film. Working with Tishu sir again has been a phenomenal experience and I've gained such nuanced learnings from him are hard to explain in words".

Vidyut hopes the sequel to 'Commando' takes the franchise forward.

"'Commando' was very special to me and will always be. I'm hoping the sequel takes the franchise forward on an even larger and grander scale. Vipul Shah is at the helm of the project, so he is the only person who can speak about the finer details," he said.

New Delhi: "Baby" actress Taapsee Pannu, who has signed up an endorsement deal with skincare brand Everyuth, says the acting profession is a "torture" on one's skin -- but with a mix of right food and liquid intake, she keeps herself glowing.

Being in showbiz can have adverse effects on one's skin.

Asked how she manages to keep her skin glowing, Taapsee told IANS: "It's almost like a torture for the skin to be in this profession. I just make sure my skin is well-hydrated, and I drink a lot of water to keep it healthy from the inside. I also avoid as much fried oily food as I can -- in summer especially."

Her association with Everyuth is her first beauty endorsement.

"I have always been extremely careful of the brands and products I am associating my name with, so it's the first and the only skincare brand I am associated with as of now," added the 27-year-old, who prefers to endorse brands and products "which people of my age group fancy".

The debate on fairness creams and their publicity continues to attract attention. What is your take -- should celebrities promote the concept of fairness creams?

"I myself am not really inclined towards fairness products. To get a glow is a different thing, which the product I endorse does, but fairness is not proportional to being beautiful," she said.

Talking about the importance of endorsements in an actor's career, she said: "It is important. Because the commercials run on TV much more than what our movies or interviews do. So, it's important for our visibility that we take up endorsements.

"Also it helps knowing and building our target audience according to what products we endorse."

London: Katrina Kaif today became the latest Indian star to join the Bollywood line-up at Madame Tussauds in London.

Kaif unveiled the wax statue and joined the new Bollywood setting as part of the popular wax-work museum's "15 years of Bollywood" celebration. After coming face-to-face with her wax model, Kaif said, "This is amazing it does look really like me."

"Our world famous sculptors have worked closely with the Indian film industry over the last decade, and we now have a stellar line-up in a specially created Bollywood area ? one of the most popular in the attraction," Madame Tussauds said in a statement.

Katrina, born to a British mother and Kashmiri father, was picked after she went head to head with competitors Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to win a hotly contested poll last year via Madame Tussauds website and in collaboration with Panjab Radio, with more than 225,000 votes were cast.

The 31-year-old British-Indian actress has become the seventh Bollywood actor to be honoured with a figure at Madame Tussauds London and joins Amitabh Bachchan (2000), Aishwarya Rai (2004), Shah Rukh Khan (2007), Salman Khan (2008), Hrithik Roshan (2011) and Madhuri Dixit-Nene (2012).

"Katrina collaborated closely with the Madame Tussauds artistic team to ensure total accuracy and is delighted with the figure, which is portrayed in a dancing pose wearing a beautiful sequined white, silver and gold, two piece outfit," a museum spokesperson said...

Katrina's figure was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period, using hundreds of precise measurements taken at a sitting in Mumbai and cost 150,000 pounds to create.

Madame Tussauds Studios London has been making wax figures for over 150 years with each masterpiece taking up to four months and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors to create.

Over 500 precise body measurements are referenced, real head hairs are inserted one by one, and countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones to achieve a kind of astonishing realism that visitors flock to see from around the world.

The Bollywood factor has proved extremely lucrative, with Indian holidaymakers and NRIs forming a large chunk of the visitor numbers at one of London's most popular tourist spots...

Mumbai: Actress Kalki Koechlin is quite impressed with recently released adult comedy "Hunterrr" and says she would love to do a film in the same genre, provided the story is original and different.

Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, "Hunterrr" revolves around Mandar Ponkshe's lustful journey, played by Gulshan Devaiah.

Kalki was present at the success bash of "Hunterrr" here on Friday, when she was asked if she is interested to act in adult comedy movies.

To that, she said: "Of course... It's an interesting concept. I would definitely do if it has an original script."

Meanwhile, Kalki will next be seen portraying the role of a young girl who is affected by cerebral palsy in the film "Margarita with a Straw".

Sushant Singh Rajput, who transformed himself as the mustachioed, dhoti-clad Byomkesh in Dibakar Banerjee's 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!', believes it was the most honest portrayal of his eight-year-old career.

Set in the Kolkata of 1940s, the film revolves around the character as he embarks on his very first case during the World War II.

"I was shooting for 'Shuddh Desi Romance' when I got a call for this role. I was very fascinated by the idea and the fact that it was set in the 1940s Kolkata which was buzzing with so many activities..

I got to know about these things only after talking to Dibakar and reading the script. I would say it is the most honest portrayal of my career," Sushant told PTI.

The 29-year-old actor said they have given their best to the film, which is based on the stories of Bengali author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.

"Normally, what happens is that you work with one good idea but there were so many right ideas for this movie.

Everything was so organic. It was planned and not planned at the same time. We were always open to new suggestions though we knew the central idea and set our standard accordingly."

There is a strong feeling that Dibakar, who has bought the rights to all the Byomkesh stories, may return with other versions and Sushant said he is open to revive his character.

"There is a possibility. Me and Dibakar have discussed the second film and he has some ideas but movies are commercial ventures and a lot would depend on how this film performs.

"This film is about what happened to Byomkesh before he became the Byomkesh that we know now. Obviously, playing Byomkesh a second time would be exciting."

Los Angeles: British actor Matt Smith is reportedly being considered for the role of Newt Scamander in much-awaited "Harry Potter" spin-off, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".

The 32-year-old actor's fans have started launching a petition to land him the part, reported Aceshowbiz.

While neither the actor nor Warner Bros has officially addressed the mounting reports, it has been reported that Smith is the "favourite" to play the part.

Shooting of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has been planned to be kicked off this summer in London with David Yates on board directing. The movie is slated for November 18, 2016 release date.

Back in 2014, producer David Heyman revealed the script for the upcoming flick was "sublime." He had said, "It's funny, it's vivid, it's exciting. It's filled with all the hallmarks of (Rowling's) incredible imagination."

Actress Shazahn Padamsee, who will be seen in a prominent role in 'Solid Patels', says she loves the comedy genre even though it is tough. Off-screen too, she enjoys her share of humour by playing pranks on the film's team.

"An actor's on screen persona has to be an extension of one's real life persona. I like comedy, and I think it's one of the most difficult thing to do on screen... so jokes, laughs keeps you positive and in mode.

"I love playing pranks on the team of 'Solid Patels'. The energy of the team is so positive that it is fun to have fun with them," Shazahn told IANS..

In the film, she portrays the role of a Gujarati girl. She says she has worked hard to perfect her diction, body language, dialect and comic timing.

'Solid Patels' director Saurabh Varma knew Shazahn was the right choice for the film, courtesy her pranks.

Varma said: "When an actress plays a prank on the director during shoot, you know you have made the right choice for a comedy movie. She loves playing pranks! Someday, I am going to have a panic attack because of her.

"Her comic timing is brilliant and so organic. Shazahn is a fun girl to work with, she is always smiling, playing jokes, keeping it light and positive," he added.

'Solid Patels', produced by Krian Media, also features Shiv Pandit and Ali Asgar among others. It will release on April 24.

Eddie Hall, Britain's strongest man and an ardent fan of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is seeking a role in Indian films.

Eddie, the four-time winner of strongest man title in Britain, is polishing his acting skills to test waters in Bollywood as a baddy. He was named as 'World's Strongest Man' in Australia after he set a new deadlift world record of 462 kg in the presence of none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Terminator star will be organising another event for Eddie in the US.

"I like two things from India - curries and Hindi movies," Eddie told Asian Lite magazine. "When I was a kid I was amazed by the way Mr Bachchan and other stars smashed the baddies on big screen. I thought these stars are martial arts experts like Bruce Lee."

Eddie, fondly called 'Gentle Giant' for his soft mannerism outside the arena, is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to visit India and meet his icon.

The Stoke-on-Trent-born wrestler is also keen to get a role in superstar Aamir Khan's forthcoming movie Dangal, which is rumoured to be based on a wrestler.

"I like to be a winner," Eddie added. "But I am ready to be defeated by the stars of Bollywood, if it provides entertainment to billions."

Eddie, 6'3" tall, is also willing to challenge Indian pahalwans (strongmen) in Britain or on their home turf. Mo Chaudhry, one of the richest British-Asian businessman in England, is offering a cash reward for the winner.

Mo, owner of Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent, Britain's most popular aqua park, has turned his attention to make Eddie a global celebrity after agreeing to become his agent. The owner of the M Club gym chain will handle all commercial activities so the Newcastle-under-Lyme 27-year-old can concentrate on becoming the World's Strongest Man, having won the British title four times.

An amateur power-lifter in his youth, Mo is determined to help the 27-stone strongman achieve his goal of breaking into the top three this year - after finishing sixth in his debut competition last year - and winning the title in 2016.

"When I saw Eddie training at M Club it brought back some happy memories," Mo told Asian Lite.

"My father Iqbal was a strongman in Pakistan when I was young and was a local hero, and I was a weightlifter at university, winning a silver medal in the Student Olympics in 1982 and bronze in 1983. So I can appreciate what Eddie has to go through to prepare for competition and also how the winners are revered around the world.

"Ultimately I'd like to create an Asia's strongest man competition, as strongman contests in the subcontinent have huge potential, but first I want to help Eddie achieve his ambitions.

"By taking commercial negotiations out of his hands, I can leave him to concentrate on his training. I am very passionate about promoting unique local talent and helping it to reach its full potential, and this partnership enables me to do that and hopefully put the area on the map," Mo said.

Eddie said, "My food bill is large as I need to consume 7,000-10,000 calories a day, and more than 10,000 a day during competitions. The agreement with Mo has already helped to generate TV and commercial opportunities. It's great to have such a driven guy looking after my best interests, as now I can fully concentrate on becoming the World's Strongest Man."

Asian cinema's icon Jackie Chan, whose latest action film Dragon Blade hits Indian screens on Friday, says he may come down to the country to shoot his new film Kungfu Yoga, the first project under a India-China co-production agreement signed during President Xi Jinping's visit here last September.

When Mr Chan last visited India in 2013, he spoke to this IANS correspondent about the need for encouraging movie collaborations and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Is he pioneering something in that direction?

"Yes, I am planning to start a new movie called Kungfu Yoga. That means I will be returning to film in India. Perhaps next time you will interview me on a set," Mr Chan, who will turn 61 next month, told IANS in an email interview from Beijing.

Star of movies like Police Story, Rush Hour and The Myth, Mr Chan will be seen in a prominent role in Kungfu Yoga.

From the film's title, one believes it will be a perfect amalgamation of the Chinese martial art Kungfu, and the art of Yoga, which originated in ancient India and now thrives around the world.

Mr Chan's earlier Indian collaboration has been with Bollywood beauty Mallika Sherawat in his 2005 film The Myth. But will his association with the Indian entertainment industry include a Bollywood film?

"I don't think about it in terms of doing a Bollywood movie, or even a Hollywood movie. The most important thing is the script. But, yes, I'm planning the new movie called Kungfu Yoga. Hopefully, we will start filming in the autumn," he added.

Meanwhile, the actor, who has regaled legions of his fans across the globe with his comedic and action avatars, hopes his American-Chinese collaboration Dragon Blade, directed by Daniel Lee, appeals to Indian audiences with its story.

"The myth about ancient Romans lost in China is absolutely intriguing. Also, I designed the fight sequences myself and I think the audiences will love them. Last of all, the songs and music in the movie are something I'm very proud of," he said.

In Dragon Blade, releasing here in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, Mr Chan has worked with Hollywood actors John Cusack and Adrian Brody. The experience, he says, was "great".

"I enjoyed working with them and I look forward to working with more Hollywood stars in China. For many years, I acted in Hollywood films. It's exciting now that Hollywood stars are acting in Chinese films," said the actor, who defies age with his enthusiasm, passion and ability to perform daredevilry without a thought.

What keeps him going?

"Enjoy every moment of your life. Accept your own self. Be young at heart. I still go to the gym every day and run for an hour. But I never go on a diet. I believe in being 'Happy go Lucky.' That's my secret," said the action star, who worked with more than 800 extras, over 350 crew members and hundreds of horses for Dragon Blade.

So, is he choosing his roles more carefully?

"Of course, I am now 61. I would like audiences to think of me as a dramatic actor who happens to also do action. In my recent films, I've been trying to broaden my roles, including in Dragon Blade," said the actor.

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, who is busy promoting forthcoming Tamil release “Uttama Villain”, has wrestled with so many controversies over the years that he feels they follow him and will continue for the remainder of his career...

(PHOTOS: Legends Kamal Haasan, Aamir Khan come together)

“Even till last week, we were fighting a case in connection with my film ‘Papanasam’. We know who filed the case, and from where. It’s like trouble and controversies always follow me,” Kamal told IANS here.

“I feel I’m always targeted. It has happened in the past too. For instance, people objected the title of my film ‘Mumbai Express’.

They said the title wasn’t in Tamil, but what’s the Tamil word for Mumbai? In an earlier case, they didn’t let me name one of my films ‘Sandiyar’,

and a few months ago, a film with the same name released. Why didn’t anybody object to it,” he asked.

Kamal’s recent release Tamil spy thriller “Vishwaroopam” was embroiled in controversies after Muslim groups felt they were portrayed in bad light.

The same film earned the wrath of the distributors after Kamal commissioned an idea to release the film via DTH platform on the day of theatrical release.

Haasan still swears by the DTH idea.

“It’s one of the other branches of film business. We have to do business in all directions,” said Haasan, who also blames the Central Board of Film Certification for curbing the freedom of speech.

“If I feel like saying something in the language I want, I have to write and get permission from the Board, like in the British times. But I am an artiste, I have all the rights to say what I want and also question them,” he added.

Kamal also has two more Tamil films “Papanasam” and “Vishwaroopam 2″ in his kitty. He said even if these films release or get delayed, he will continue working.

“I can’t sit idle. I am always eager to give audiences good projects because they are expecting it from me,” he added.

The 60-year-old has already started work on his next Tamil project, a thriller said to be set against the backdrop of Mauritius.

Actress Vedita Pratap Singh, who was last seen in the Bollywood movie 'Bhindi Bazaar' and 'Mumbai 125km', has been roped in to play a journalist in Shailendra Pandey's upcoming movie 'JD'.

Vedita says, "I am extremely excited to play the character of journalist in the upcoming film 'JD'. The story line and concept is very real. It’s very challenging character for me and I sure I will justify with my character. Even the songs of the film impressed me with the different flavours and the beats. I am looking forward to show my moves in the 2 songs being picturised on me in 'JD'."

The director and producer, Shailendra Pandey, who is a journalist himself, is adding his experiences to the script. He says, "Vedita is a very talented actress and I sure she will do a justice with her character. Very interesting thing in the movie is we have invited a real photo journalist, reporter and editors of different organisations to be part of film which is based on the life story of a journalist."

Filmmaker Karan Johar is happy with the excitement surrounding the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1989 film Ram Lakhan, but rumours surrounding its cast have left him troubled. He says the actors are not yet locked.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is currently shooting for his project Dilwale, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon...

Priyanka Chopra, who had won the Best Actress National Award in 2009 for her role in the film Fashion, said that she hates losing, but is willing to take a back seat for Kangana Ranaut. Kangana has clinched the Best Actress trophy for her role in Queen at the National Film Awards this year.

New Delhi: Bollywood's young generation actor, Varun Dhawan is currently riding high on the success of his last release 'Badlapur'. The film helped him carve a niche for himself, where he was appreciated more for his acting prowess than good-looks.

The actor took to micro-blogging site Twitter and posted a cool picture of his new swanky vanity van. The classy and uber stylish van suits the flamboyant personality of the actor perfectly. Varun posted: “My old van had an accident so got a new one pretty pimped out”

Varun will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's much-talked about project with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon titled 'Dilwale'.

Mumbai: In the past few days, speculations were rife that ‘Haider’ boy Shahid Kapoor is ready to tie the knot with a Delhi-based girl named Mira Rajput.

However, it has now emerged that the buzz was not true and that Mira is not the girl Shahid is getting hitched to.

Son of veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor, Shahid, had unpleasant romantic experiences in the past. His relationships with Kareena Kapoor (now Mrs. Saif Ali Khan) and Priyanka Chopra failed to work.

The actor was also linked to his co-stars Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha at one point...

Nonetheless, on Karan Johar’s talk show – 'Koffee With Karan' – Shahid had confessed that he wouldn’t ever date an actress again. And hence, rumours about him seeing Mira sounded true.

But now that the Delhi-based girl has reportedly denied getting married to Sasha, female fans of the handsome actor can heave a sigh of relief.

Kangna Ranuat had been approached to be the showstopper for designer Tarun Tahiliani at Lakme Fashion Week, but she had to turn it down as she is currently shooting in Delhi. Regardless of her refusal, the organisers sent out messages to guests and the media that the actress would be a part of the show, say sources.

"A few designers had requested her to walk the ramp for them, but she had expressed her inability to do so. However, the organisers mentioned her name as Tahiliani's showstopper. So when Chitrangada Singh walked the ramp for him on Sunday, it took the onlookers by surprise," adds a source.

A member of the organising team insisted that a list of celebrities they had received from various agencies had Kangna's name as part of Tahiliani's show. "The showstoppers often change at the last minute depending on their availability. So we retain all the suggested names of celebrities in the list of our shows. We found out at the last minute that she wouldn't be able to make it," says the member on condition of anonymity.

The actress' spokesperson maintains she did not accept any offer to walk the ramp due to her packed shoot schedule. "It was unfair to put her name in the list when she had clearly mentioned her unavailability," the spokesperson says.

Actress Soha Ali Khan has rubbished reports of a backstage tantrum at the Lakme Fashion Week on March 20, where she was walking the ramp for designer Babita Malkani.

In a statement, Soha said, "I am surprised to see the story a Mumbai tabloid has carried with respect to LFW. I and the designer Babita Malkani have known each other for a while and we respect each other's work hence we decided to come together for Babita's Summer Resort Collection. There were absolutely no such issues as reported by the tabloid and anyone who has worked with me will know I wouldn't know how to throw a tantrum. Not only did I spend quality time with Babita backstage but I waited for almost two hours post the show giving interviews and having a nice time with the team. I'm intrigued by the article knowing it to be fully baseless - why would someone make these things up? Bizarre."

A tabloid report quoted a source saying that the actress was upset because there was allegedly no car sent to pick her up or room booked for her at the venue. The source also said Soha threatened to pull out of the show because she thought the outfit she was to model did not fit well.

Designer Babita Malkani also resleased a statement which said, "I and Soha Ali Khan, who has been a good friend for a while now, were a bit shocked to see a certain negative story appear titled "Throwing Hissy Fits" as it made no sense at all. We also fail to understand that inspite of speaking to me and Soha - who both shared with the journalist that no such thing happened and it was a fragment of her imagination completely."

On March 20, Soha Ali Khan sashayed down the ramp in an edgy printed skirt and a black cropped top for Babita Malkani. Soha married actor Kunal Khemu in January and is currently filming Ghayal Returns with Sunny Deol.

Model-actress Nathalia Kaur, best known for her item number in Ram Gopal Varma's Department, is excited for her full-fledged Bollywood debut in Rocky Handsome co-starring John Abraham.

Nathalia, who is the latest to be eliminated from Khatron Ke Khiladi 6, is going through an interesting phase in her career as besides Rocky Handsome her another Hindi film Guns of Benaras will also release this year.

"I have two films coming up. One is Guns of Benaras which will release in June and the other one is Rocky Handsome with John Abraham. It is an action film and the adaptation of Korean movie 'The Man from Nowhere'. John has done a great job in the film. The film has got lot of martial art. It is something really different," Nathalia told PTI.

Also starring Shruti Haasan, Rocky Handsome will hit theatres on October 2. John has co-produced the movie.

The 24-year-old Brazilian model said she loved being on Khatron Ke Khiladi, which marked her Indian TV debut. Being an adventure-lover, the Rohit Shetty-hosted show was a treat for Nathalia.

"My journey on the show was amazing. I am into adventure, fitness and I am a nature lover so for me it was great to do such challenging tasks every day in beautiful locations with lovely people. I have become much stronger person now," she said.

Nathalia has become the fifth contestant to be eliminated from the Colors show after Harshad Chopra, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Archana Vijay and Riddhi Dogra.

The young model feels one has to be emotionally detached to survive on the reality-adventure series.

"You have to be emotionally disconnected. Being emotional about family, loved ones make you weak. It is not easy but I think it is very important. I am an emotional person so by the end, I started missing my family, home and became frustrated," she said.

The celebrity contestants left on Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns are Ashish Chowdhry, Hussain Kuwajerwala, Iqbal Khan, Sana Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Rashami Desai, Asha Negi, Meiyang Chang and Rakesh Kumar.

Mumbai: He may have decided to keep his musical dreams on the back-burner for sometime in order to concentrate on studies but Udupi-born teenager Gagan Gaonkar says he would like to do playback singing for Shah Rukh Khan.

The 13-year-old winner of "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs" said he will not mind if he gets an offer in the near future to sing for his "favourite" Bollywood star.

"I will take a break from music now for five years to concentrate on my studies after winning the show. I want to pursue audio engineering and become a music composer.

"In the meanwhile, if I get a chance to do playback singing for Shah Rukh Khan I will jump on it. He is my favourite actor and it's my dream to sing for him," Gagan told PTI after winning the show.

Gagan, who studies in the seventh standard, saw off competition from Keshav Tyohar from Patna and Kolkata's Aishwarya Saha to be crowned as the winner of the singing talent hunt during the grand finale of its fifth season.

Gagan, who was consistent on the Zee TV show, credited his parents and love from audience for his win...

"My parents are very supportive and encouraging. They helped me to fulfil my dream of winning the show. My audience also helped me to become the winner by voting for me in large numbers. I have been learning Hindustani Classical Music since my childhood," said Gagan, who earlier participated in the Kannada version of the same reality show.

Asked how did he manage his studies during his stint on the show for 13 weeks, he said, "Zee TV used to give me two hours time daily from my shoot to study. After my shoot, I used to devote my time for my studies only. My school helps me a lot. They encourage extra-curricular activities and that helped me to chase my dream."

Often termed as 3G on the show, Gagan said it was not a cakewalk for him to win the show as his co-contestants were super talented. But the young singer said he never took the show as a competition.

"When I entered the show, I just had one thing in my mind and that was I am here to learn. I have never imagined that I could win the show because my co-contestants were super talented," he said.

The reality show began 13 weeks ago with 12 children across India. They were judged by Shaan, Monali Thakur and Alka Yagnik.

We recently saw daddy Shabbir Ahluwalia take time off from his busy schedule and continuous shoots to spend it with his son Azai Ahluwalia. This is the first time Shabbir and his wife Kanchi Kaul have revealed the face of their baby boy.

Shabbir tweeted a picture with his son, Azai on the driver’s seat. It is rather cute and adorable picture, we are sure you do not want to miss. It seems the actor spends all his mornings with his adorable son – no batter start to a day, right.

We wonder where the father and son were heading to on a Sunday morning. Clearly Kanchi was on the other side taking pictures and capturing all the wonderful moment spent together by the father-son jodi.

With all the drama that has been happening on Kumkum Bhagya, it was nice to see Shabbir in the daddy figure. Tell us if you like the picture by posting your views in the comments section below.

The five-day fashion extravaganza is taking place at Hotel Palladium.

Salluja's collection, titled 'Revelation IIKA' for her label Anaiikka, took inspiration from the birth of the new Indian woman.

She showcased warrior saris, fish-tail lehengas worn with cropped warrior blouses and shrugs, dhoti pants and tiny fitted tops.

The fabric choice was just high-graded silk, but the colours varied from salmon, sinduri, teal, neel blue and tulsi green, which breathed life into the ensembles.

New Delhi: Bollywood's dimpled beauty Preity Zinta might be missing from the action on silver screens for quite some time now, but she is surely a newsmaker. According to a leading daily, Preity might soon be seen on small screen as a judge.

Yes, you read it right! The chirpy actress has been roped in as one of the judges of a popular dance show—'Nach Baliya', reportedly. She will be seen judging the show along with famous writer Chetan Bhagat and choreographer Marzi Pestonji, reports further suggest.

However, no confirmation has been made either by the makers of the show or by the actress as yet. Well, it will be quite refreshing to see Preity groove to some Bollywood dance moves one more time!

Bubbly and vivacious Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra says she is not so "happy" as she is not feeling well.

However, the actress, who made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 2011 romantic comedy Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, refrained from sharing more information about her illness on the social media platform.

Meanwhile, 2014 turned out to be a low key year for the cousin of actress Priyanka Chopra. Of Parineeti's three releases - Hasee Toh Phasee, Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil, two bombed at the box office.

Hasee Toh Phasee, which also starred Sidharth Malhotra, had a fair box office performance...

Recently, at the CBFC meeting which had several Bollywood actors and directors in attendance, Aamir Khan is said to have taken off on sex comedies. Says a source present at the meeting, “He talked about sex comedies and started giving gyaan on what is wrong with them, why they shouldn’t be made, etc.

Hearing him talk, one of the members said, ‘He should have realised he is not on Satyamev Jayate’!” In fact, the PK star had earlier slammed AIB Roast that featured Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar. The show had loads of double meaning jokes and expletives was very violent according to the perfectionist Khan. However, his views didn’t go down with a lot of people, who came down heavily on Aamir on social media.

Well, to each to his own, but wasn’t he the one who produced Delhi Belly, an adult comedy filled with cuss words and sexual innuendo? What’s more, it was considering a path-breaking film! No doubt, with age (he recently turned 50) people mellow down, but Aamir seems to be losing his .

Even though Balaji Telefilms head Ekta Kapoor has been on the receiving end for her fashion sense, it hasn't stopped her from launching her own signature label under the name 'Ek', an acronym for her name.

The brain behind the saasbahu phenomenon formally announced the launch of her line comprising desi wear and jewellery at a press conference in Mumbai recently.

Looking graceful and fit in a blush pink sari with a heavy dose of silver embroidery, Kapoor said, "I have a personal belief that fashion can go out of style but style can't go out of fashion.

Television has its own style - some relate it to big bindis, big earrings and ostentatious garments while sometimes they call it understated dressing. I think television's style is liked by many women in India."

"'EK' is an endeavour to make fashion accessible and affordable," the 39-year-old television and film producer- daughter of actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor-added.

For added masala, shoppers will also be able to buy ensembles worn by their favourite television characters featured in Kapoor's daily soaps.

The signature line that features a number of saris will be available from March 18 on Best Deal TV, the country's first celebrity-driven 24/7 home shopping channel.

Started by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra, the venture is co-owned by Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as well.

Katrina Kaif, who is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film 'Fitoor' with Aditya Roy Kapur and Rekha, is apparently playing a Pakistani character in the film.

According to a source, "The movie depicts the relationship between three characters - a young Kashmiri boy named Noor (Aditya), his muse Firdaus (Katrina) and the Begum (Rekha). 'Fitoor' is a modern take on Charles Dickens' 'The Great Expectations'."

The film also stars Rahul Bhatt, who plays a character named Bilal, and will be a part of the love story. The film will also have few guest appearances by Ajay Devgn, Lara Dutta and Talat Aziz, among others. The film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

This is not the first time when Katrina will be seen playing a Pakistani character. Katrina also played a Pakistani spy in 'Ek Tha Tiger' opposite former love interest Salman Khan.

Actress Divyanka Tripathi said that a wave of naturalism has brought a whiff of change in the content of Hindi TV shows. She also credits the audience for pushing showmakers to pay greater attention to the storylines.

"In television, focus has shifted towards content, thanks to audience, because supply is directly affected by demand. Audiences have become very intelligent and they want to see intellectual shows," Divyanka told IANS.

It's a welcome change for actors too. "Thanks to that (the change), we as actors are also pretty content as we are able to portray good and very natural characters," she added.

The actress, who has earlier featured in shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and Mrs & Mr Sharma Allahabadwale, also noted that dramatic story line has been replaced by "naturalism".

"Naturalism has come. TV has become very practical. Earlier, there was too much glam quotient; women had to look good even when they were sleeping. There was a lot of drama, but that is not the case now," she said.

Divyanka has carved a special place with her role of a South Indian girl, named Ishita, married to a Punjabi man in Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Divyanka feels one of the reasons why her role clicked with the audience was the portrayal of reality through her character.

"People love Ishita because they can connect with my character, and our show also highlights issues of every household," the actress said.

When not acting, the actress said that she prefers to catch up on her hobbies like watching movies.

"I live my own life and try to explore myself. I entered the industry at a very young age and didn't know a lot of things. So now I tend to go shopping with my friends, watch movies (which I simply adore), go on long drives.

"I am a very homely person; so half of the time I am cleaning my house," she said.

Bollywood, it seems, has already hit its quarter-life crisis in 2015. As the industry heads towards the first quarter of the year, it is clear that the picture isn't as pretty as it should be. The industry has yet to deliver a runaway hit though NH10 seems to be encouragingly on the right track, with current collections standing at approximately Rs 17 crores. However, what are runaway are clearly the budgets which have been going increasingly out of hand.

Producer Mukesh Bhatt recently said in an interview to The Times of India, "As a producer it is humiliating that we pay a star's spot boy more money than our chartered accountant."

It's a sentiment which other producers seem to be more than on board with, with top filmmakers meeting last week to address the need to tighten Bollywood's belt. Mukesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar Anurag Kashyap and Siddharth Roy Kapur, amongst others, all sat together for three hours. While the agenda for the first meeting was regulating the amount of money spent on a film's marketing and promotion, the next meeting, which will reportedly take place in two months, will set a limit on the rates of the staff of film stars.

However, the first meeting of minds turned out to be quite fruitful when it came to installing a new sense of frugality, especially if we go by Karan Johar's rather telling tweet on Tuesday. The filmmaker, who is normally known for his flamboyance, tweeted:

Producers have reportedly been inspired to cut down on promotion costs after the success of films like NH10 and Dum Laga Ke Haisha which were made with limited promotional and marketing budgets. Dum Laga Ke Haisha currently seems headed to clocking Rs 26 crores at the box office.

Yes, it seems that Bollywood has finally understood that it's not senseless spending but a sensible script that will get the audiences coming in. And that's an approach we can place our money on

New Delhi: For all those who have been staunch well wishers of  Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's relationship, here is something that will cheer you up.

The doting boyfriend that Virat is, he has lauded his ladylove's performance in `NH10` on micro blogging site Twitter and is simply blown away by her act.

Interestingly, the ace cricketer has also addressed Anushka as `my love`. Now isn't that simply adorable?

The two have been in a relationship for a while now and unlike the other couples of B-Town who never open up about their relationship status, this pair have done the opposite of keeping quiet.

Virat-Anushka first grabbed the headlines when the lady in question was spotted with the batsman during Team India's tour of New Zealand.

said in Mumbai on Monday at the launch of a Spring Summer collection.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Pooja is now geared up to shoot for her film 'Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi'.

The veteran actor needed medical attention after his earlobe split into two at an event in Kanpur. As he had to leave for Thailand immediately for the film's shoot, he had the surgery done in Bangkok.
According to unit sources,

Giselle Thakral was with Shakti Kapoor throughout the operation. She accompanied him to the hospital and took care of him. He was deeply moved by her kind gesture.

In 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3', Shakti Kapoor plays father to Tusshar Kapoor and will be seen in the most lecherous avatar yet. The film also features Aftab Shivdasani, Krushna Abhishek and Meghna Naidu.
