Mumbai: TV actress Anita Hassanandani says she was initially not in the mood to make a comeback on the second season of thriller series 'Fanaah'.

The 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actress, who played a loud character on the show, said her simple and sweet look in the new season attracted her to be a part of it.

"My character Preet in 'Fanaah' had a very distinctive appearance, loud make-up and dramatic clothes. But Yamini, the character I will be playing in the second season is a very simple girl with a mysterious story.

"I prefer this simple and sweet look. Initially I wasn't sure about being in the second season due to my hectic schedule and plus it's just been a year to my marriage, but, this simple and sweet look appealed me a lot. I'm looking forward to be a part of 'Fanaah' for the second time," Anita said in a statement.

Actress Saranya Mohan, who is making her Bollywood debut with ‘Badlapur Boys’, says she had reservations about the industry even after she signed on the dotted line for the project.
“I’ve always pictured Bollywood as a glamorous industry. I’m very choosy about my costumes in films and never have I worn something I didn’t like. Hence, when I signed this film, I had my own reservations about the industry and what I have to wear,” Saranya told IANS.

But the actress, who has featured in southern movies, was pleasantly surprised when the team let her wear whatever she preferred.
“I had conveyed my request to the team about my costumes. They were kind enough to let me choose what I want wear. I was floored by their professionalism,” she said.
‘Badlapur Boys’, about Kabbadi, is the official remake of Tamil hit ‘Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu’.
Saranya considers herself “third time lucky” because she was part of the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film too.

“The original film carved my career in Tamil and Telugu (movie) industries. I got plenty of offers after I worked in the film. I hope the same fate repeats in Bollywood as well,” she said. “Besides the Kabbadi link, the Hindi version has been changed to suit the local flavour. I have an extended role with lot of dialogues,” she added.

‘Badlapur Boys’, which is directed by Shailesh Varma, also features Nishan, Annu Kapoor and Puja Gupta. It is slated for release Nov 7.

I know many people who do not wear a seat belt when driving, but quickly strap it on when they see a cop. But isn’t a seat belt for our own safety and shouldn’t it be put on when we are driving?” said the actor saying that at least he  makes sure to strap his on whilst driving! As they say, practise what you preach.
Aishwarya Rai, who turned 41 Saturday, has many special things to look forward to. While her family has been ensuring to make it a memorable birthday, Sanjay Gupta, the director of ‘Jazbaa’, toiled to put together a premature teaser trailer of her movie.
“It was an idea that came to me very late. Why not put together a three-minute teaser of ‘Jazbaa’ and present it to her. I made sure she didn’t get to know about it as a I slogged for 18 hours a day to get it ready in time,” Gupta said.

The teaser of ‘Jazbaa’ was just one of the many gifts that were lined up for Aishwarya on her birthday. If a source is to be believed, Abhishek had been birthday shopping for his wife in Dubai where he had gone for the premiere of his new film ‘Happy New Year’, and their daughter Aaradhya has put together a card specially designed for the occasion.
“This year, Aishwarya has a lot to celebrate during her birthday. Her husband’s new film is a superhit. And Aishwarya is ready to make a comeback to acting with Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’,” said a source close to the Bachchan family.

When asked what plans there were for her birthday, a source said: “No big bash has been planned as such. Ash will be with Abhishek, her parents, brother and bhabhi (sister-in-law), Abhishek’s parents and Aaradhya.
“A trip to the temple is also on the anvil. Other than that, Aishwarya was in no mood for a big celebration this birthday.”

Mumbai: Her cousin Priyanka Chopra is a star. Now, another family member, Mannara, is all set to enter Bollywood with "Zid" and Parineeti feels that it is unfair to pit her against her cousins.

"Zid" trailer is out and when Parineeti was asked whether she had seen it and did she think Mannara will be a competitor, she said: "Yes, I saw the teaser and I think she looks sexy. We grew up together and there is just two years difference between us."

"I think it's time that people stopped comparing me with my sisters in a negative way. We all have immense love for each other," she added.

The actress is currently busy promoting "Kill Dil", a film helmed by Shaad Ali. Govinda, Ranveer Singh, and Ali Zafar are part of the movie that is slated for a Nov 14 release.

With just five films in three years, Parineeti has not only found a firm foothold in filmdom, she also won a Special Mention National Award for " Ishaqzaade".

Is she hoping to bag another National Award for "Kill Dil"?

"When I did 'Ishaqzaade', I only wanted that my critics, the audience, and my parents should like my work. With this film ('Kill Dil'), I have tried something different and National Awards definitely motivates you, but I can't demand a National Award. If I deserve it, I will get it. If not, I will work hard next time," said the 26-year-old.
