Composer-singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya has replaced rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh as the mentor on India's Raw Star.

Himesh stepped in after Honey Singh was advised two months bed rest by the doctors following illness.

The rapper was all set to join back Raw Star, but then he was advised bed rest. The singer has not been in the best of health for quite sometime now. Erratic shooting and recording schedules took toll on the singer's health. He even suffered an accident in America and had to opt out of The Slam! tour.

Honey has shot only six episodes of Raw Star. Other celebrities like Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Brothers, Salim Suleiman have been mentoring the show in his place. But when Honey informed the makers that he won't be available for two months, the makers approached Himesh to take over the mantle.

Himesh, who had earlier visited the show as guest, readily agreed to be part of the show. He will now mentor the singers for the remaining four episodes. In his first visit, the composer had signed three singers of the show to record for him.

Meanwhile, Honey Singh's team posted a message on the singer's official Twitter handle, requesting fans to pray for him.

"All the Fans and Well Wishers, We would like to inform all of you that Yo Yo would be out of action for some time because of his illness and doctor has advised him to be strictly on bed rest. As a family we are really thankful to a lot of people for supporting us during his illness. He'll be back really soon to entertain all of you. Do keep him in your prayers. Keep supporting and loving apka apna Yo Yo Honey Singh".

Actor-TV personality Gaurav Kapur married model-actress Kirat Bhattal in New Delhi on November 2.

Wedding guests included actress Neha Dhupia who posted a flurry of pictures on Instagram from the celebrations.

Gaurav Kapur, a popular host of sports shows on TV, has appeared in films like A Wednesday and Ugly Aur Pagli. Kirat started out as a model and now stars in films down South.

From action to comedy to drama, actor Akshay Kumar has done everything in his over two decade long acting career. And now his desire is to work on projects that his son Aarav can enjoy.

When asked about his choices while signing films, he said, "I want to do some good films. I don't want to do a film just because it will make Rs 100 crore or Rs 200 crore. I want to do films that my son can enjoy. If he doesn't like my film, he comes to me and tells me that he didn't understand the film at all."

In a time when stars are sticking to one or two films in a year rule, Akshay is still doing more than that and for him managing multiple projects is a child's play.

"People accuse me of doing four films in a year, but it's not impossible," said the actor who already had two releases this year - Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and It's Entertainment.

"Actors should reach sets on time. If actors would come on time, then the crew would also come on time. It's not impossible to shoot four films in a year if you reach sets on time," said Akshay who will wind up the year with The Shaukeens, releasing on November 7.

Akshay's co-stars in the Abhishek Sharma-directed fun filled drama The Shaukeens are Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, and Piyush Mishra along with actress Lisa Haydon.

He is a star, but his journey had been dotted with ups and downs. He says that those filmmakers who refused to work him when he was going through a flop phase, now make a beeline outside his house.

But now the tables have turned and Akshay wants to work on his terms and conditions.

"It's not their mistake that they didn't cast me when I was a flop artist, and I feel you should take it positively and work hard. Not once or twice thrice the filmmakers have come back to me. Now when they come back, I quote my price,"

“I’m really looking forward to perform for the first time at a music festival. I can’t wait to get up close and personal with my fans. Farhan Live has always been about moulding the ‘artist-to-fan’ direct connect as well as spreading a social message through my music to young audiences,” Farhan said in a statement.
Along with the ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ star, the music festival has brought together an eclectic array of musicians like Leslie Lewis, Alien Chutney, Vir Das, Ankur Tewari and Sidd Coutto.

In this endeavour to showcase the Indian talent in Sufi, rock and soul music, the organisers have not ignored their environmental commitment.

Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba has been eliminated from the reality TV show, Bigg Boss 8.

The 29-year-old Bachna Ae Haseeno star is the fifth contestant to go out of the Bigg Boss house after Sukirti Kandpal, Deepshikha Nagpal, Natasa Stankovic and Soni Singh.

The actress was first sent to a secret room along with actor and co-contestant Puneet Issar where they watched the happenings of the house for some time, but she was later evicted while the veteran star was sent back to the house.

Minissha says her experience on the show was wonderful and she has been evicted at the right time as she feels five weeks were enough for her to connect with the audience, which was her sole purpose for doing the show.

"I am happy to be out of the show right now. I am coming out with positivity and that is what matters. Five weeks is enough for people to me and I am happy I have connected with them. I will surely miss the house so it is a bittersweet feeling," Minissha told PTI.

The actress was one of the most calm and composed contestants on the controversial show, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. She was not involved in many fights in the house and was seen stating her opinion in a quiet manner. Minissha said that living in the 'Bigg Boss' house tested her patience but she chose not to react and deal with things calmly.

"We were all under immense pressure. The physical conditions were also tough, so fights and conflicts were natural. Everything in this house ends up being blown out of proportion because that is the nature of the place. But it is up to you, if you want to let a spark turn into a fire or whether you let it die down," she said.

Minissha adds she will miss a lot of people on the show as she had made great connections during her stay.

"I have known Arya from before the show, so he has always been a friend and will always be. The new people I met here like Diandra and Upen, I will miss them and will surely meet them outside. I will also meet Soni, Natasa and Sukirti,"

Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra was inside the ‘Bigg Boss 8’ house along with her ‘Kill Dil’ co-stars Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar. The three were on the show to promote their upcoming film. The three danced with the inmates and that was when Ali Quli Mirza’s ‘bad touch’ irked Parineeti.

Ali, who happens to be a very dear friend of Pari’s cousin Priyanka Chopra, was in for a shock, when the former accused him of touching her badly. The ‘Kill Dil’ star left the house in disgust along with Ranveer and Ali Zafar, leaving the inmates of the house wondering about what actually went wrong.

They started asking Ali if he said or did something wrong to Pari. An alarmed Ali was perplexed and in a state of awe, for he wondered what made Pari complain to him about his ‘bad touch’.

Pari was heard talking about what Ali had done to Sonali under the blanket and how it annoyed the lady.

After the three actors came out of the house, Salman decided to relieve Ali of the discomfort by saying that Parineeti had just played a prank with him and there was nothing wrong with him.

Ali was left extremely embarrassed and sad for having been a victim of such a dirty prank.

However, Parineeti apologised to Ali and thus ended the tamasha.
