Actor Andrew Lincoln says there would be many ‘thrilling’ characters making entry on the next season of ‘The Walking Dead’ and hints that a villain, Negan, is one of them.

The drama is based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book of the same name. Negan is a popular character in the story.

Negan is the leader of a group dubbed Saviors. They use violence to control other colonies including Alexandria where Rick, played by Lincoln, and his friends are about to enter, said The Hollywood Reporter.

“There are astonishingly brilliant and thrilling characters that I am convinced we would be idiots not to meet in our journey,” the 41-year-old actor teased.

“I would be very surprised if we don’t see Negan on the horizon in the not-too-distant future. What struck me, that I’ve always been excited about, is we’re coming into the sixth season of this show … and it’s the medieval part of ‘

The Walking Dead’ comic, where you realise that there are these isolated communities but don’t really know other ones exist,” Lincoln said.
Composer-singer Bappi Lahiri says these days lyrics have no meaning and are bizarre.
“There is no meaning of lyrics these days. It’s very disappointing. Listen to songs like ‘Chaar botal Vodka’. All these words are bizarre. One has to concentrate on the lyrics,” Bappi Lahiri, who has given the vocals to “Hunterrr 303″ from the film “Hunterrr”, told IANS.
“Think about the old lyrics. People still remember those songs. There is no sense in today’s lyrics like it had in the golden era. Lyrics have double meaning but having said that the young generation likes it,” he added.
However, Bappi, who has been in the industry for more than four decades, says he wants to continue working.
“As a singer, it’s been 42 years in the industry. I am happy about the fact that my old songs have still not faded. I have achieved a lot, but I still want to work. No matter whatever I have achieved till date, still I want to be in the show business,” said Bappi.

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has applied for Indian citizenship for a second time despite an earlier plea of his having been rejected by the Centre.

The 43-year-old singer — whose earlier request was rejected some two years back — has made his application to the Foreigners’ Division of the Home Ministry. “His application is under consideration,” official sources said.

Last month, Home Ministry had asked Law Ministry as to whether Sami can be granted Indian citizenship. But Law Ministry refused to entertain the request, saying that the power of granting Indian citizenship lies with the Home Ministry under the Citizenship Act.

The Law Ministry, however, said that it can help Home Ministry with the interpretation of any provision of the Citizenship Act to enable it to decide the case.

Under the Indian Citizenship Act, a foreigner is entitled to receive citizenship provided that he or she has rendered distinguished service to the cause of science, philosophy, art, literature, world peace or human progress.

Sami, who has a Pakistani passport, had arrived in India in 2001 and, between 2001 and 2013, visited the UK and several other countries. He has a business and professional visa.

His earlier application for citizenship was submitted to the special branch of Mumbai Police.
