After Shah Rukh, Aamir Khan loses his security cover

Aamir Khan becomes the second superstar to lose his security cover after Shah Rukh Khan.

Though SRK regained it last month after he spoke up against our neighbouring country's government, Aamir will have to wait for his turn.

The actor was given a police cover first in 2001 when Lagaan was released.

At that time there was reportedly a plot to eliminate both Aamir and filmmaker AshutoshGowarikar after they refused to give in to the extortion demands by the underworld after the film became a colossal hit.

However, in a recent security review done by the protection and security branch of the Mumbai police, Aamir faces no threat to his security, perceived or otherwise.
