Divya Bharti

Divya Bharati, one of the most successful actresses of her times, made her acting debut in Telugu film ‘Bobbili Raja’ in 1990. She made her presence felt in Bollywood with an impressive performance in ‘Vishwatma’ in 1992. She won the Filmfare debut award for her role in ‘Deewana’ alongside Rishi Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan, which released in the same year. In a career spanning over 3 years, Bharti acted in as many as 22 films which included her regional ventures.

She married film producer Sajid Nadiadwala in 1992. She died after falling from her 5-storeyed building on April 5, 1993. Many believe she committed suicide.
