When Girish Kumar and Shruti Hassan stepped into RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA, they were understandably excited to be beginning work in this Prabhudheva directed film. Little did they know that the filmmaker, who is extremely fond of getting right locations for the right scenes, would have a tough schedule lined up ahead.
"For WANTED, Prabhudheva had travelled continents and didn't breathe easy till he got the perfect shot. Ditto for ROWDY RATHORE that was even shot in some of the remote places in Karnataka as he wanted the rugged look of the soil correct. Now for RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA too he was relentless in his attention to detail as a result of which some of the virgin locations were chosen for the filming," informs a senior crew member.
Due to this, the cast travelled from Pune to Bhor every day which required over three hours of to-and-fro effort. This isn't all as the trend continued once the unit shifted up North for the film's shoot. This was in Punjab where the shoot location was two hours away from the hotel, which meant over four hour of travelling every day.

"Well, travel woes are going to continue for next 10 days at least," adds an associate from the production team, "Girish and Shruti would be travelling across the country for the city tour and it is going to be a packed schedule ahead."
"It is all for a good reason though," smiles Kumar Taurani, "We have given a year to the film. Now if it is going to be 10-15 more days to hard work then be it. This is a film which has been made with a lot of heart and conviction. It is not about travelling to locations, it is about getting the entire package right. This is where RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA is going to score."
