Actor Hrithik Roshan, who was asked to stay away from crowded and noisy places since his brain surgery recently, could not stop himself from taking part in a Dahi Handi celebration here, which supported a charitable cause for tribal girls.
Going against the advise of his doctors to take it easy, the 39-year-old actor took part in the festivity at Ghatkopar, the proceeds of which went to a NGO working for tribal girls
suffering from malnutrition and starvation.
"My doctors told me not to go to a place where there is a lot of noise and crowd as it might affect the senses and I might get pushed. These are valid concerns but I feel that nothing can harm you when you are giving love. I felt completely protected. When someone does something great for others, its always wonderful to be a part of it and contribute," Hrithik said.
"It was also for a social cause supporting tribal girls which is also why I chose to go. I can't believe that I jumped and danced, even though I'm not allowed to do so right now," he added.
