Style Check: Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor among the best-dressed of the week

With the kind of attention they attract from fans and fashion police alike, Bollywood actresses have to put their best foot forward during any outing. So, when Deepika Padukone landed in UK for the promotion of Chennai Express, we knew she had a fabulous dress on her mind, and we spotted the lady in a tangerine Gaurav Gupta gown. The week totally belonged to Deepika as the actress was seen hither and thither promoting her movie with Shahrukh. Since her look in the movie is of a village girl, she mainly wore ethnic dresses for the events. Her Sonaakshi Raaj sari-gown on Indian Idol Junior was graceful with a dash of oomph. The actress also looked regal at another event for which she selected an Abu-Jani anarkali. But our clear favourite was the Dev R Nil black-and-white saree at Dubai leg of promotions.

Next is our all-time favourite Sonam Kapoor. The actress literally stole the limelight by appearing in a black racy gown by Alexander McQueen at Vogue Beauty Awards. Smokey eyes, glossy lips and a fun hairdo completed her look.

Last week, we praised Kareena Kapoor’s smart ethnic choices, and this week we go gaga over her D&G frock. Mrs Saif Ali Khan carried the look with utter ease and subtle elegance.
