Actor Varun Dhawan, who was seen smoking in his debut film 'Student of the Year', insists the character he portrays on-screen is different from what he is in real life
The 26-year-old actor is the son of ace director David Dhawan and has warned his fans against the use of tobacco. "Hey guys for the record I don't smoke but I might have to smoke for some upcoming role but everyone knows smoking is bad so don't do it. "As an actor if you play a character doesn't mean I am that person I know there are a lot of young people on here so to be healthy no smoking," Varun posted on Twitter.
Varun, who will seen next in father's production "Main Tera Hero", feels people should not be judgemental towards smokers. "And for the rest of the grown ups behave mature, you guys know this is not reality, also people who do smoke are not bad human beings," he added.
