Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt turned showstopper for designer Masaba on the opening day of Wills India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014.

Alia Bhatt dazzled the ramp in a pink dress with black sleeves and neon pink high heels.

Alia Bhatt said she and Masaba have a long association. "It was very emotional and special for me to be here. I have been wearing Masaba since I was a child. I call her Mass. We have grown up doing all the craziest things and today walking for her was kind of a big deal. As she said the collection is fun, quirky and edgy and that is what I like," she said.

"Honestly, nothing inspired me for this collection. People keep asking me about the inspiration but I feel certain weightlessness in this collection. I have just embraced my younger side and had fun with the collection. It's everything that the brand stands for colour, print and everything," Masaba said about her collection.

The young designer, who is known for her quirky motifs, used three prints predominantly this time-- Chandragupt, machine and checkered dots.

"It has the house of Masaba print. Every dress has a stamp on it which is my brand's stamp. This is just an alert to people who are copying my designs. There were two other prints - machine print, which was just the first machine to prepare sequins. The another one is checkered dot print," she added.

Designer Anupama Dayal, who also showcased her collection on the opening day, revisited the old-world charm with her 'Gulabi' collection and beautifully presented the forgotten hand printing and needle craft techniques of India while Masaba's untitled collection celebrated the free-spirited woman.

Anupama presented a subtle spring-summer collection which had chanderi sarees, palazzo trousers, long and short dresses and skirts.
