‘Gunday’ earns Rs 28 crore in 2 days

The much awaited film of the year ‘Gunday’ got a phenomenal opening over the weekend. Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Gunday’ has earned over Rs 28 crore within two days of its release.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted film’s domestic box office figures in the morning.
“#Gunday Fri 16.12 cr, Sat 12.63 cr. Total: ₹ 28.75 cr nett. India biz only.”

Despite getting mixed reviews from film critic with Indian Express reviewer saying that the movie has nothing new to offer, the movie’s songs – Tune Mari Entiryan, Jashn-e-Ishqe seem to have done the magic.
Shubhra Gupta in her review said: “‘Gunday’ is as generic as its name suggests. Even that old phrase luchche-lafangey had more character. In the name of plot, we get a mash-up of many popular blockbusters, several of them belonging to Yashraj, the producers of this one.”

But film critic Taran Adarsh said that Gunday’ is expected to grow by the end of the weekend.
‘Gunday’ was widely promoted by the trio.
The off-screen chemistry between the two handsome hunks – Ranveer and Arjun – also became the talk of the town. Sensational Priyanka Chopra is also an added charm to the film making it a total Bollywood masala entertainer.
