Rumours are doing rounds that Deepika Padukone's arch rival Katrina Kaif was the first one to be approached for Bajirao Mastani, but the porcelain beauty rejected the high profile role.

And guess why did Katrina reject the magnum opus? Apparently, she didn't want to star opposite Ranveer Singh because he is his junior.

Ummm...this sounds a bit incredulous for Katrina has worked with her juniors in he past, and is in fact, currently working with much junior Aditya Roy Kapur in Fitoor.
