Here’s why Amitabh Bachchan is not celebrating Christmas and New Year…

With Christmas and New Years around the corner, the news has been constantly abuzz with celebrity celebrations and New Year getaways. While Priyanka Chopra is vacationing with her family, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are speculated to be in London on New Year’s eve. However, unlike all of these, we hear that Amitabh Bachchan has decided to stay aloof this holiday season. Here’s why!

Having recently wrapped up R Balki’s Shamitabh and Shoojit Sircar’s Piku, Big B is currently shooting for Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir and if his schedule is anything to go by, then he has no time to spare either for Christmas or for New Years. But of course, Sr Bachchan didn’t make this ‘No-celebrations’ sound so horrible.

The 71-year old took to his personal blog and shared this really cute image where he’s dressed as Santa to wish his fans a Merry Christmas. The actor wrote, “Tomorrow though, here in Mumbai it will be on set for ‘Wazir’, and work. I suppose it is for the best to be so. I would be working on New Year’s too in the early years.”

Followed by which, his next message read , “But tonight I wish all a most prosperous and Happy Christmas, and a beautiful New Year. May 2015 bring greater prosperity, love and peace among all of us and the world.
