We all know Salman Khan is a busy man. Salman Khan is busy nowadays in shooting of Bajrangi Bhaijaan opposite Kareena Kapoor and beacause of his tight schedule he had to opt out of Bigg Boss.

Now we hear that the superstar has given his nod for the sequel of 2011 super-hit Bodyguard. Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, who was the producer of  Bodyguard, will most probably direct the sequel.

The buzz is that the script has been finalised and Salman has given a go ahead. No information is available on whether Kareena Kapoor, who played the heroine in the first film, will return as the leading lady in the sequel or not.

Atul Agnihotri, and Salman's sister Alvira Khan, the producers of Bodyguard, will produce the sequel too.

Bodyguard starred Salman as dutiful bodyguard Lovely Singh to a powerful man's daughter, played by Kareena.

Sources said Salman was convinced about making a sequel because Lovely had no family background in the first film. So he felt there was scope to build a script around that aspect of the character.

The romantic drama, made on a budget of around Rs.64 crore, went on to gross over Rs.230 crore worldwide after amassing Rs.100 crore in just one week.

Bodyguard was a remake of a Malayalam super-hit of the same name, which was also directed by Siddique.
