For all those who have been waiting with bated breath to see Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan together on screen, there is some good news for you all. Buzz has it that the two actors will finally come together on the silver screen in Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan.
The film was apparently slated to go on floors this year but it was Salman's busy schedule for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan which pushed the film further.
Interstingly, Katrina Kaif's name was earlier doing the rounds to play the female lead but it seems that Deepika Padukone has caught the fancy of the makers.
A source was quoted telling a leading website, "Salman and Deepika were to co-star in Shuddhi, but she could not do that film. She has already done three films with Shah Rukh Khan and was keen to do a film with Salman."
However, no official confirmation has been made by the Yash Raj Films.
Rumours are also rife that Salman was so impressed with the script that he gave an immediate nod to this sports based film. And, interestingly he will start Sultan before Karan Johar's dream project Shuddhi.
