Kangana Ranaut is shooting for her upcoming period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. And looking at these exclusive pictures from the sets of the film in Jaipur, we think she will ace this role as well. Have a look at the royal pictures here!

After Simran,Kangana Ranaut is shooting for her upcoming period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. And looking at these exclusive pictures from the sets of the film in Jaipur, we think she will ace this role as well.  Redefining royalty with her decked-up avatar, Kangana is carrying her sword like a true warrior too.
Kangana looks like a total stunner in her white and gold look, sitting on her throne. Currently, the film is on floors in Jaipur’s Amber Fort and going by the pictures, the sets are complimenting Kangana’s regal Rani Laxmi Bai avatar pretty well.
While this is the first time we will witness Kangana portray an iconic character like Rani Laxmi Bai on screen, from the various set videos and pictures, we can see that just like everything else, Kangana is nailing this avatar too. Filled with action sequences to the brim, Manikarnika will bring Kangana’s unexplored side to the forefront and with so much splendor!
Manikarnika is a biographical drama about Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Writer-director Vijayendra Prasad had earlier said that the war episodes will be the biggest highlight of the film. Vijayendra has also penned some blockbuster films like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan.’
Manikarnika also features television actor Ankita Lokhande who is playing Jhalkari Bai, a woman soldier in Rani Laxmi Bai’s army who fought as her body double against the British. Ankita will be seen opposite Bajirao Mastani actor Vaibhav Tatwawaad. It will hit the theatres on April 27, 2018.
Alia Bhatt’s fashion choices are glamorous and classy and there’s no doubt that she can pull off anything with ease, be it a lehenga, sharara, a Cindrella gown or even the basics. This time too, it was no different as she was clicked at the Mumbai airport in a camouflage shirt from the house of Amiri, which she paired with black jeggings and thigh-high boots by Stuart Weitzman.
Although not too inspiring, what we like about this look curated by stylist Ami Patel is that it’s fuss-free, starting from her outfit to the styling. Her hair was tied into a neat high bun, and her outfit accessorised with oversized sunglasses and a spray-painted bag with a bright yellow strap.
If you like this look and are planning to buy a camouflage shirt then you will have to look for other variants because you might not want to spend as much as Bhatt – it’s for Rs 50,423 and we think it is a bit too much for a casual shirt.
And if that’s not enough, the not-so-fancy ‘spray painted’ tote handbag from Off White is bound to leave you in a state of shock. It costs a whopping Rs 2 lakhs (approximately). With that amount of money, you can easily fund a week’s holiday to Europe!
Prices apart, Bhatt probably is in love with the military trend since she has quite often been spotted wearing those prints. Previously, she was photographed wearing a long camouflage jacket from Marc Jacobs teamed with a black camisole from Prabal Gurung. Take a look:

We recently saw two of the most beautiful and expressive women, Madhuri Dixit and Deepika Padukone pose together for a picture when they met at the recently held Marathi awards in Mumbai. As they met, Madhuri Dixit immediately told Deepika Padukone how stunning she was in the song from Padmavati, Ghoomar.

The makers of Padmavati recently released Deepika's song Ghoomar which received a fabulous response from fans on social media, critics and even celebrities. The way Deepika looked, the way she picked up the folk dance and the grace with which she performed has been extensively applauded.

But the compliment for Deepika becomes even more special when it comes from someone like Madhuri Dixit, who is even herself known for visually stunning songs and expressive eyes like in Maar Daala and Dola re Dola. A source present at the award function also tells us how both the actresses also discussed their director in common, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

He is known to have found his muse in both these actresses. Currently it is Deepika, considering his collaboration with her for the 3rd time back to back for Padmavati after Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
Deepika’s Ghoomar song hit 10 million views in a very short span and the decision of the makers to release her song as the first song is being hugely applauded.
Writer-director Rakhee Sandilya's debut film 'Ribbon' is a modern love story about urban millennial couples who attempt to balance work and family each day. More often than not, working women are compelled to choose between their career and family. So the one question that's never had an easy answer is, can women really have it all?

Kalki Koechlin, who often wears her feminist heart on her sleeve, agrees: "I think we need some equality in the kind of questions we're asked as well! When men are never asked how they balance work and family, women shouldn't be either. What we really need is for men and women to be equal shareholders at home, and this question will answer itself."
For Rakhee, the answer is an unequivocal yes on 'Can women really have it all?', provided society looks at parenting as a shared responsibility and not just the mother's domain. "Ribbon is the story of a working woman who wants to have a baby, but at the same time wishes to continue working. But she soon realises that expecting mothers find their loyalty questioned in this cut-throat corporate world."
'Ribbon' produced by Prakash Mondal and Swathi Mondal of Red Cart Films, and presented by Eros International is slated to release across India on November 3, 2017.
Vidya Balan‘s Tumhari Sulu revisits the iconic ‘Hawa Hawaii’ track from Mr. India giving it a fresh spin. The song that has withstood the test of time and emerged as a fan favourite over the last few decades will be seen on the large screen after 1987. Shot on Vidya Balan, RJ Mallishka and Neha Dhupia, ‘Hawa Hawaii’ has a special place in the film.
What is interesting though is the fact that makers have decided to retain the original vocals of singer Kavita Krishnamurthy in the film. In a time when retro tracks are remixed and rehashed by new singers, the makers decided to keep the melodious vocals of Kavita on the track.
For Vidya shooting the ‘Hawa Hawaii’ track was a treat given the fact that she was a 5 year old girl when the song came out in 1987. “I may have been five or six years old when the song released. As a child, I absolutely loved the song. I can’t believe that so many years later I am actually featuring in it. When I was informed about it during pre-production, I was both excited and anxious. It made me very nostalgic. Ours is a happy interpretation…an office party song. We had fun doing it!” smiles Balan.
The original track was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the choreography by Saroj Khan. ‘Hawa Hawai 2.0 is the handing over of a legacy from one superstar Sridevi to another, Vidya Balan. Tumhari Sulu, directed by Suresh Triveni, hits theatres on November 17.

Khushi is often seen holding her elder sister's hand as they are spotted outside, their sibling bond is surely hard to miss. Jhanvi impressed the fashion police as she was spotted wearing a pair of bright red pants with a white full sleeves top tucked in. Khushi, on the other hand, opted for a classy monochrome attire at the airport which we are totally digging.
Veere Di Wedding has finished its first schedule in Delhi and now will probably head to Bangkok.
After months of speculation, Kareena Kapoor Khan's and Sonam Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding is finally on track. Earlier, the film was said to be delayed because of Kareena's pregnancy.
Well, now we have the first teaser poster of Veere Di Wedding with us, and we're already excited. Check out those beautiful lehengas!  The poster is a bit of a tease, as Sonam is hiding Kareena's face with a fan, and even Swara Bhaskar's face can't be seen clearly.
All said and done, they look stunning.
The first schedule of the film happened in Delhi. Kareena's son Taimur was there too, and was of course, everyone's favourite. In fact, Kareena even joked that Rhea Kapoor (Sonam's sister) had banned Taimur from the sets. Earlier there were rumours that Taimur might be a part of the film, but Kareena refuted those.
According to a source, "Shashanka Ghosh (director) and his team have done an extensive recce in Delhi where the major portion of the film is set. The first schedule will be a smaller one, of a few days, after which they will mostly head to Bangkok for the second schedule."
We can't wait for the main poster tomorrow!
Eid is very special occasion for Salman Khan as Sultan and Tubelight released during Eid in 2016 and 2017 respectively. It looks like the actor is all set to continue with the trend as his upcoming film 'Bharat' has its eyes fixed on Eid 2019 release. The film is scheduled to go on floors in April 2018.

"That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with Bharat. It starts in 1947 and ends in 2000 and is the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat," revealed producer Atul Agnihotri told Mumbai Mirror.

Bharat is an adaptation of the South Korean movie 'An Ode To My Father', where a father gets separated from his son and daughter during the war and refugee crisis and revolves around the storyline of being reunited with the family despite all odds. The film is very emotional and will strike a chord with the Indian audiences when it'released in 2019. Also, Bharat will be directed by none other than Ali Abbas Zafar and the film will be shot in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Delhi and Punjab. We will have to wait and watch as to who will be the leading lady in the upcoming movie.

Zaira Wasim received rave reviews and a National Award for her performance in her debut film ‘Dangal’, but the actor said the response she is getting for her latest release ‘Secret Superstar’ is more overwhelming. The young star, who celebrated her 17th birthday yesterday, said people are appreciating her performance in the Aamir Khan-produced film and the shows in her home state, Jammu and Kashmir are running houseful.
“I’ve got more messages from people for this film than ‘Dangal’. People have given immense love to the film. My best birthday gift is the love and appreciation my film is getting. I am very happy and overwhelmed. In fact in Jammu, theatres are running
houseful, my friends couldn’t get tickets,” Zaira said. The actor said the best response she has received for her performance as ‘Insiya’ is from her father. “I went with my parents to watch the screening for the cast and crew. Mom and dad were watching it together, while I sat at a distance and was out even before the film was over.
“My cousins later told me that my father was crying throughout (the film). When he got out of the theatre, he had tears in his eyes. I had never seen him cry before. When he saw me, he hugged and kissed me on the forehead. That was the best compliment for me,” she said. Written and directed by Advait Chandan, “SecretSuperstar” chrFor Advait, getting appreciation from the audience and from the industry biggies like Rajkumar Hirani and Kabir Khan was “surreal”. “Everything seems surreal to me now. The fact that it has been declared a hit after the weekend is very exciting to me. I’ve been visiting theatres to watch the film with the audience and the experience has been fantastic. To see a packed hall laughing, crying, clapping to your film is just very humbling,” he said.onicles the story of a child who aspires to be a singer.

On the occasion of Telugu actor Prabhas' 38th birthday, the makers of Sujeeth's trilingual action thriller Saaho released the film's first look.

In the still, Prabhas is seen walking on a street in what looks like a foreign locale. The background is full of fog but certain details of the location hint at its foreign setting. The actor is decked up in black from head to toe, teaming a black overcoat with black trousers. He covers the lower half of his face with a black scarf as his kohl-laden eyes stare suspiciously, yet menacingly, into the camera.
Saaho is Prabhas' first outing since the mega blockbuster, SS Rajamouli's war epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion earlier this year. Saaho also stars Shraddha Kapoor (marking her south cinema debut) opposite Prabhas. Neil Nitin Mukesh will play the chief antagonist and will be seen leading a brigade of villains that include his fellow Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Tinnu Anand, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mandira Bedi.
The film also stars Tamil actor and playback singer Arun Vijay and Malayalam actor Lal. It is co-produced by UV Creations and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. It will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and is slated to release sometime in 2018.
A. It’s a film about a couple who live in Mumbai. They are a typical urban couple. They are well educated and so-called liberal. But they are facing a lot of troubles. Firstly, Sahana, my character, is pregnant. Secondly, they have a lot of money issues. They are in debt. They have to look after their aging parents. And now, there is a baby on the way. They are really in a dilemma. The story of the film spans four years, from pre-pregnancy to when the baby is four years old. There are a lot of changes in my characters in these four years.
Q. How was it to play a mother onscreen? This is the first time when you have taken up a role like this?
A. I have never been a mother, so I had to do a lot of research. Well, first I read a lot about pregnancy, so much so that after a point Google started sending me alerts wherever there was something interesting and new related to pregnancy and motherhood. They were sending me almost everything to do with pregnancy. My Gmail was filled with that. So, yeah, I read a lot on pregnancy and post-pregnancy. I met some mothers also. One woman, I met told me that it feels like a truck has been passing through your vagina while delivering a baby. The other woman said that post-pregnancy your vagina feels like a sad marshmallow numb to the world. Then, on top of that, Rakhee (director) had a friend who just had a baby ten days back. It was a month before we were going on floors. So, I was like I want to be there. I want to spend time with her, watching her breastfeed and also how to pump milk because a working mother has to keep the milk in the fridge, how to massage a baby, how to change a baby’s napkin. I became a pro at napkin changing. So, it was hands-on work.
When news broke of Sidharth Malhotra and Ali Bhatt’s alleged break-up, because of his growing closeness to Jacqueline Fernandez, fans were left heart-broken. Even though the rumoured couple never came forward to confirm their relationship, spotting them together had become a pleasant treat.
Post rumours of a split, the duo was hardly ever spotted together and honestly, we truly missed them. Much to everyone’s delight, they decided to make a public appearance together last evening and understandably so, the internet went ballistic. Fans are rejoicing over a possible reunion and the paparazzi had a field day too.
The duo was spotted leaving Sanjay Kapoor’s Diwali cum birthday bash together, and might we add, looked absolutely amazing too. We’re secretly hoping for a reunion. After all, pictures don’t lie, right?

Actor Shamita Shetty says quantity of work was never a priority for her, and so she chose to be choosy. But in hindsight, she feels it’s perhaps she said “no” too often that films stopped coming to her.

Shamita made her film debut in 2000 with Aditya Chopra’s directorial “Mohabbatein”, but worked in few films since then. The younger sister of actor-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty now features in web series titled “Yo Ke Hua Bro”.
Asked if she is very picky about her work as in a decade-long career, she was rarely seen on the big screen, Shamita told IANS over phone from Mumbai: “I have not done that many roles. I have not been a part of that many films for a while. There is a lot that I would like to do… Maybe I have said no so much that eventually worked stopped coming to me but I never stress on quantity.
“For me, quality matters. You are taking out time from your life to do something that you love and you should be happy doing it. I don’t want to do a film just for the sake of it. For me, I guess, I just had to pick the best from what came to me.”
On the small screen, Shamita featured in reality TV shows like “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 8)” and “Bigg Boss 3”, but not in a fiction soap.
Shamita says she would love to do something different and work in “content driven” projects, but is not game for “typical saas-bahu stories or the likes”.
“Today, I think the subject is your hero. I cannot sit here today and say, ‘I want to do this or that’ as it depends on what is offered to me and appeals to me. Accordingly, I can take a decision,” she said. “Yo Ke Hua Bro” is a five-part comedy web series, and also features actors Aparshakti Khurana, Gaurav Pandey and Ridhima Pandit. It is available on Viacom 18’s video-on-demand streaming service VOOT.
Filmmaker Sundar C's ambitious project Sangamithra created quite a stir on social media after it was launched at Cannes 2017 earlier this year. To be made on an epic scale, Shruti Haasan was supposed to play the titular role in the film.
However, the Race Gurram actor walked out of the project due to several reasons. According to Shruti's spokesperson, no proper bound script nor a proper date schedule was given to the actor.
As per recent developments, Sri Thenandal Films, which is bankrolling the gargantuan project, has roped in Bollywood actor Disha Patani for the lead role. It must be noted that Sangamithra is about the female protagonist. This will be Disha Patani's debut in Tamil.
The first instalment of the two-part magnum opus will be ready for release by the end of 2018.
Academy Award-winning music composer AR Rahman and National Award-winning production designer Sabu Cyril are on board for the magnum opus. Sangamithra will be made on a budget of Rs 250 crore. On the work front, Disha Patani is teaming up with rumoured beau Tiger Shroff for Baaghi 2, which is slated to release next year.
Anushka Sharma might feel awkward confessing her love for Virat Kohli in real life but in her reel life, she has done it like a pro. The latest TVC which has lovebirds Anushka and Virat playing a bride and a groom at a wedding justifies their title of the ‘much-loved’ couple. The new age wedding vows they take with each other, the love in their eyes and the comfort between the two, all have just made us watch the adorable video on a loop.
In the ad, as you hear Virat and Anushka, fondly called Virushka by their fans, you might end up with an ear to ear smile on your face. Virat, who pretends to be the groom, remarks that he will cook for fifteen days in a month to which the Sultan actor, who is playing the bride, agrees by saying she will eat it without complaining about its taste. The other vow comes from the bubbly girl of Bollywood. Anushka Sharma says she will keep all his secrets password protected and in turn the ace cricketer says he will never dare to change Anushka and will accept her as she is. Isn’t it cute?
A funky Aamir Khan dancing to the tunes of what can be called a ‘cheap party song’ in Secret Superstar’s Sexy Baliye has created quite a storm in Bollywood. Providing a sneak-peak into Shakti Kumaarr’s world, Aamir Khan and team recently released the behind-the-scene video from the making of this funky song. And it is clear proof of what a splendid job Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra has done at making Aamir dance to her ‘cheap party moves.’
Talking about the song, Sanya says, “This is my first project as a choreographer and I loved making Aamir Khan dance to my tunes.” In the video, we get a glimpse of Sanya doing the hook steps for Aamir and it is plain hilarious to see a 52-year-old Aamir emulate them.
Sharing the video on Twitter, Aamir Khan wrote, “Thank you Mika paaji ! And thank you Sanya! Shakti Kumaarr is incomplete without you.” Throwing more light on the song, director Advait Chandan said,” This is not a song that Insia writes or composes. This is Shakti Kumaarr’s voice. The idea of behind the video is that it is Shakti Kumaarr’s first YouTube video that he dedicates to Secret Superstar.”
Producer Kiran Rao shares her thoughts as well, “Aamir is the item in the song. He is what we call cheap throughout the song and intentionally cheap.” In contradiction to his recent roles, Secret Superstar will see Aamir play a borderline cheap and flirtatious music director who serves as a mentor for his protege Insia (Zaira Wasim). Insia is a Baroda based girl aspiring to be a singer. But due to the resistance she faces from her father, she uploads anonymous videos online wearing a hijab.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone says, though she feels fortunate to have portrayed a character like Padmavati, the filming was extremely exhausting for her. The actress was present at the book launch of Hema Malini’s biography – “Beyond The Dream Girl”, written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.

During an interactive session with Hema, Deepika shared how time has changed. Acting in the magnum opus “Padmavati” has transform her creative mind. She said: “Working in Padmavati was an exhausting experience. It takes quite a lot to work on a character for nine months constantly round the clock. Certain characters just don’t leave your system.”
During the book launch, while Mukherjee was busy giving sneak peek into various chapters of his book, Deepika and Hema, shared their recipe for success. ALSO READ: Deepika Padukone launches dream girl Hema Malini’ biography on her birthday – view HQ pics
Both agreed that to achieve the success they have, one needs hard work and a disciplined lifestyle — two core elements to walk that path.
Talking about her success, the young diva said, “I think it is a very gruelling process as we put so much hard work to reach the point where we actresses are today. “And it is not just hard work but compromises on personal life and leading a very well-disciplined life to translate a certain character on screen.
“One of my sacrifices was living away from my family. I always fought with negativity and came out a stronger person. I started working at a young age and after my Class 12 exam, I could not continue my formal education.”
She also said: “In the beginning my parents did not support that. In the sense they wanted me to finish my studies, given the unpredictable nature of the profession, I chose.
“Also there was a certain mentality of a middle-class orthodox family. But later, seeing my dedication, they understood and wholeheartedly supported me. But, in the process, I missed out on a complete formal education, so I am a 12th pass.”
Mersal is, without a doubt, one of the highly anticipated films down South. In fact, this year South films have created more buzz on social media than Bollywood. But Vijay’s Mersal is definitely going to be houseful on the first day. Ashish Saksena, COO Cinemas of BookMyShow said in a statement, “The big Diwali releases in Tamil Nadu usually start with a special show which is screened as early as 1 am and continues until 11 pm on the first day. While single screen cinemas organize 5 to 6 shows a day, multiplexes like Mayajaal (India’s largest multiplex with 16 screens) have been observed to screen as many as 100 shows last Diwali which were sold out on BookMyShow in a matter of hours! It is nothing short of a celebration across all Tamil Nadu theatres.”

He adds, “This Diwali, Mersal is already getting the fans excited. Mersal is indeed one of the most awaited and high profile Tamil releases of this year. After Vivegam, the audiences have been seeking a massive entertainer and Mersal definitely seems to be meeting the expectations. The film will be released across most of the cinemas in Tamil Nadu and the screen count is expected to be over 500 in the Tamil Nadu region alone. (ALSO READ: Mersal box office collection day 1:Thalapathy Vijay’s film to earn Rs 30 crore on day 1, predicts trade expert)
And this are just the rough estimates for Tamil Nadu. Ashish adds to the figures and says, “It is also expected to be released in more than 3000 screens across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and overseas in the U.S., UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The Telugu version of the film- ADIRINDI has also got the fans equally excited. Even though most of the movie ticket bookings opened late last evening, with some major cinema chains still to decide on its release in their multiplexes, lakhs of tickets have already been sold on BookMyShow.”
Mersal is definitely going to be the biggest Diwali release this year and we can’t wait for the film to release. Tell us what you feel about the film in the comments below and stay tuned with us for more updates, reviews and exciting news about Mersal.
Bhumi Pednekar who is kind of a mini-star for us this year after the success of her both movies – Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Kriti Sanon who delivered a dud in Raabta early this year compensated with a hit in Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Taapsee Pannu, after delivering a stupendous performance in Pink last year starred in Naam Shabana which ended up on a plus side and Judwaa 2 which is on the verge of being declared as a hit.

Bhumi Pednekar who started her year with a bang as her movie Toilet: Ek Prem Kathawent on to collect 133.60 crores being this year’s 2nd most profitable film. Her immediate next film which was released with a month of her first success was Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The movie went on to become one of the biggest surprises of 2017. Started with a low figure, 2.71 crores, went on to earn 41.90 crores in its lifetime. Bhumi will next be seen in the upcoming Abhishek Chaubey directorial Chambal, based on Chambal dacoits.
Kriti Sanon’s Raabta was a dull affair collecting just 24.50 crores at the box office. But she bounced back as her next Bareilly Ki Barfi amassed 34 crores during its glorious run. Kriti has not confirmed any future project yet but after Bareilly Ki Barfi all good hopes are pinned on her.

In the times when even major superstars are delivering disasters and some of the stars with good experience of 15-20 years behind them aren’t really finding favor amongst the audience, Ajay Devgn stays on to be one of the handful of superstars who has a consistent strike rate when it comes to the commercial run of his films.
The actor may not score a 100 crore success every time or set records with every release of his. However, what he is ensuring is at least some sort of credibility in the content as well as the opening that his films take (especially in the single screens across A, B and C centers of the country) that allows reliability quotient.
This can well be evidenced from the fact that last 12 months have seen him arrive with two action dramas, Shivaay and Baadshaho, and both have at least managed to remarkably better than how 90% of the other major releases are doing in the course of a year. Shivaay crossed the 100 crore mark and Baadshaho came close to the 80 croretotal. Yes, both were expected to do much better. Shivaay boasts of some of the best action that an Indian film has seen and could have stretched its total by 20-25 croreBaadshaho did as per the merits though a 100 crore mark would have been a sweet spot for it.
That said, the fact still remains that he is at least delivering consistently and for the producers, distributors, exhibitors as well as audiences, there is a ‘minimum guarantee’ value that he brings with himself. This has pretty much been the case with his prior releases as well, as was the case with Drishyam which may not have seen a huge opening but has one of the best content of an Ajay Devgn starrer in some time. This stays on to be one of his ‘word of mouth’ films which resulted in a total of over 75 crore been accumulated. Again, that’s the kind of number which not many films are collecting in the last few years.

After hitting the jackpot at the Indian box office, Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 now entered the 200 crore club after adding the overseas collection. The film now stands at the worldwide collection of 209.66 crores as it nears to complete 3 weeks at the box office.

Judwaa 2 currently stands with a grand total of 133.03 crores at the Indian box office. Made on a glossy budget of 65 crores including print and advertisement, the film made a profit of 68.03 crores which takes its profit percentage to 104.66%. Thus making it a profitable venture for the makers.
