Action hero Vidyut Jammwal was slated to perform live stunts on the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards stage in Macau Saturday, but he has pulled out at the last minute due to an urgent family situation.

"Vidyut has had to travel urgently out of the country to attend to a certain urgent family situation. Due to this, he will unfortunately not be seen performing his action and stunt based act at IIFA awards 2013 in Macau this year," his spokesperson said in an official statement.

The actor has gained popularity with films such as "Force" and "Commando", and his daredevilry will next be seen in "Bullet Raja".

At the IIFA extravaganza, which kicks off Thursday at The Venetian Macao, stars like Madhuri Dixit and Deepika Padukone will set the stage on fire with their perfect moves and grooves. The awards night will be co-hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif may seem cordial with each other and exchange pleasantries in public but sources say that the leading ladies are not too fond of each other, and the reason could be Bollywood's one of the most eligible bachelors Ranbir Kapoor.

As we all know that Ranbir and Deepika's pairing worked fantastically well in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) if one looks at the box office records so much so that there were reports of the Kapoor scion posing threat to the ever popular Khans. Obviously then Ranbir, who was already singing praises of Deepika's performance even before the film was released, is convinced and confident about his hit jodi with his ex-flame Deepika.

In fact, during the film's promotion, without batting an eyelid he had said that his favourite co-star is Deepika and he would want to work with ther again and again. Further, while talking about Raj Kapoor - Nargis pairing, Ranbir had even hinted at reaching the level of the legendary jodi of the two great actors.

It is also believed that Katrina lost YJHD to Deepika as Katrina was originally signed for the film but due to some change in casting decision, Deepika bagged YJHD. Not only the film but Deepika too got rave reviews for her performance. And on top of it industry grapevine suggests that Ranbir and Deepika still share a certain closeness which is not going down well with Katrina, who is rumoured to be Ranbir's current girlfriend.
Katrina Kaif is reportedly keen to sign up to the planned sequel to Dostana
She would replace original star Priyanka Chopra in the follow-up to the hit 2007 comedy, also starring
Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

A source told Mumbai Mirror: "Katrina wants to be a part of this heroine-centric film. It will give her a lot of scope to perform. The actress is waiting for the final nod from the producers. She has not allotted any dates between October and January to any other filmmaker."

The film is expected to be released in 2014 after facing several delays in shooting.

It was reported in April that Bachchan and Abraham will be first seen together again in the remake of Vettai.
Salman Khan and his family in a poster for his 'Being Human' charitable trust

Arbaaz Khan told IANS: "Salman has had a flourishing career by making his own decisions. If you see Salman's career graph, you will see that most of his films have worked [and] done well, and that's why he is at this position today.

"Neither do I need to give advice to him, nor [does] he [want] it realistically. He has now developed a kind of sense and judgement... in which image, which films and which people he has to work."

Salman Khan will reportedly be collaborating with Skyfall cinematographer Alexander Witt on his forthcoming remake of Telugu hit Kick.

The crew for Kick spent this weekend (June 29) scouting locations in the London for the film.

Amitabh Bachchan has said that he would love to return to the theatre as an actor.
The 70-year-old recalled his experiences of being on stage after watching a play at the Prithvi Theatre.
Writing on his blog, he said: "It would be wonderful to get back to it, but now it is frightening to get up there... a controlled environment is suitable to us today.
"We can make countless mistakes not so on the platform of the stage... not so also the immediate reaction of the audience, not so also the immediate reaction and applause of the people sitting in front of you. That attraction is something only those that experience it can say."
The star described acting on stage as the most challenging area of the performing arts.
"The stage is the most trying and difficult of all performing arts, a wonderful place to learn to get initiated of what may follow... some of the greats have migrated from the stage to greatness of their own elsewhere, but have never forgotten the days of the smell of the wood work," he wrote.
The veteran actor recently said he was keen to take on new challenges as an actor.

Bachchan is said to be starring in a TV soap for Sony TV directed by Anurag Kashyap.

It was a tough battle between Arun Sagar and Vijay Raghavendra to win the first edition of Kannada Bigg Boss, hosted by Kiccha Sudeep. Actor Vijay emerged victorious and walked away with the cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.

Vijay, who won a National Award as a child actor, is related to the legendary Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar and is the cousin of actors Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. His brother, Sri Murali, is also an actor.

In conversation with Rajul Hegde, the actor walks us through his Bigg Boss experience and what worked for him.

Congrats!

Thank you.

Did you expect to win? Most viewers thought Arun Sagar would walk away with the title.

I figured Arun would win because of his talent and experience, and the way he handled every task.

In fact, I was already imagining giving him a congratulatory hug when they called out my name.

When I was given the trophy, I was wondering, 'Did I really win?' It was my wife's birthday on June 28, so this win is like a gift to us.

Fans who throng Amitabh Bachchan's plush Juhu bungalow Jalsa every Sunday to catch a glimpse of their favourite Bollywood khandaan, were in for a surprise this weekend.

While it's not uncommon to see the Big B make his routine appearance on his terrace from where he waves at his fans, this Sunday, June 30, saw him step out with son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya.

The 70-year-old actor posted a picture on his official Facebook page and wrote, "The Sunday well wishers had a bit of a surprise today ... the little one came out too .."

Vikramaditya Motwane's new film Lootera -- set to release on July 5 -- was screened for the film's team and close friends over the weekend at Ketnav in Khar, a western Mumbai suburb.

Lead actors Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha strike a quirky pose at the do.

Director Karan Johar invited Aamir Khan, for a special episode of Bollywood@100, History TV18’s tribute to the 100 years of Indian cinema.

In this chat, the director persuaded the actor to reveal some of the lesser known incidents and decisions in his life.

Aamir then revealed the story behind his Oscar-nominated film Lagaan.

When director Ashutosh Gowariker narrated the script to him for the first time, he dismissed the story by calling it ‘stupid’.

It was only during the second narration, four months later, that Aamir somewhat liked the plot. But he wasn't entirely convinced yet.

It took a year and four-five narrations for Ashutosh to finally convince Aamir.

Lagaan eventually went on to become one of the most critically acclaimed blockbusters of its time.

Very few people know that Aamir’s parents did not want him to become an actor, despite his father being a filmmaker himself.

To satiate his passion, he worked in his classmate’s short film, which however was never released. Narrating the same to Karan, he states, “I guess only 10-12 people watched the film, and one of them was Shabanaji (Azmi) and she liked my act. When she came to know that I’m Tahir Hussain’s son, she really wanted to meet him and praise him about my work. I had no choice but to stop her from doing so, as I knew my parents won’t appreciate me acting discreetly.”
