Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover‘s sizzling chemistry in their upcoming movie Alone has grabbed eyeballs and even sparked dating rumours about them. Though they maintain that they are just good friends the heat between them is undeniable! Bipasha even has some authority over her Alone co-star!

Recently during an interview Bips revealed that it was KSG’s fans on Twitter who pleaded her to make the actor join the social networking platform. She said,“I had no clue Karan Singh Grover has such a huge fan base! Suddenly I had all Karan’s fans on Twitter, on my Timeline, telling me every day that he has to join some kind of social networking.”

Talking about the reason why she is an active user of Twitter, Bips said, “The good thing about social networking is that it gives the real reflection of you. A lot of stories come out about us. It is really important to have this medium to connect with the people who actually love you and make you who you are.”

Her horror film Alone opposite Karan Singh Grover releases on January 16th!

Actress and popular item girl Malaika Arora Khan, who is also a film producer, does not want to try her hand at film direction.

Malaika’s next production is ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, and talking about her experience, she told IANS: “It’s fun and different being a producer. You learn something new and see a different side of filmmaking.”
What about direction? “As far as direction is concerned, I don’t think I have the aptitude or patience to direct a film. I don’t think I can do,

Malaika, who became famous courtesy her dance atop a train in the song ‘Chaiya chaiya’ from ‘Dil Se..’, says it will remain her favourite song always.

“Of all of them, ‘Chaiya chaiya’ has been my favorite purely because it was my first song and shot differently. I love that song…you’ve never seen anything shot like that on Indian screens. For me, it will always be a song close to my heart.”

In ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ too, Malaika has performed a song titled “Fashion khatam mujhpe”.

Bipasha Basu has several things to be excited about — the positive response to the trailer of ‘Alone’, the hot and steaming track ‘Katra’ and the positive buzz in the trade for the horror flick.
She will also start shooting for her next, ‘Nia’ with Rana Daggubbati, to be directed by fashion designer Vikram Phadnis by the end of January.

“It’s too early to talk about ‘Nia’ as we just announced the title of the film. It’s a drama driven by music, a soulful story of a family,” she says.

The actor, who for the first time plays a double role that of conjoined twins in ‘Alone’, concedes that it was the toughest and most challenging part of the film. “Playing two characters, who are absolutely two different personalities, was tough.

Playing conjoined twins made it tougher as being stuck to another person is a very annoying thing. I had to be stuck to a body double — a girl who was exactly my height and with the same body structure. So first I had to play Sanjana and shoot with the body double and then go on the other side of the camera and do the same thing as Anjana, after changing the hair and make-up!” she said.
She further adds that there is a lot of special effects in the film. “When I played the ghost, I did not want to put any scary make-up on my face and thus I just shot the scene without make-up.

The rest was taken care of by the special effects team,” said the actress, who also had to change her workout regime to transform her striking athletic physique to a more curvaceous one for the romantic track, ‘Katra’.

Basu has high expectations from the film as it is very entertaining and people have liked her pairing with Karan Singh Grover, who makes his debut in the film. “The kind of on-screen chemistry we share, helps a lot as the whole film revolves around a very romantic, passionate love story.

In fact, some of the romantic scenes are so intense because of the highly strung emotions that it became difficult to dub for the film. But it has shaped up very well and I am looking forward to its release,” she says, also praising director Bhushan Patel for superb picturisation of the horror sequences.

New Delhi: If there is any actress in Bollywood, who has been given the moniker of a 'hero' in a film, then perhaps it's only Vidya Balan. This southern beauty celebrates her birthday today. Vidya's journey in the showbiz world has been no less than a 'filmy kahaani' itself.

She started as a model, did various commercials—only to face rejection at the hands of film directors in the initial stage of her career. The talented actress got her first break in Ekta Kapoor's 1995 hit sitcom 'Hum Paanch'. However, it was only after ten years that she got her big break in Bollywood with Pradeep Sirkar's 'Parineeta' opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Meanwhile, Vidya did a Bangla film called 'Bhalo Theko'. 'Parineeta' made her a known face in the Hindi film industry, and as they say there was no looking back for the actress after that. She bagged Rajkumar Hirani's 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' with Sanjay Dutt.

Post 'Munnabhai', a series of average films made her struggle.

In 2009, her career graph took a new high with films like 'Paa' where she played mother to megastar Amitabh Bachchan and was paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The film made her stand tall among the heroes. She even grabbed films such as 'Ishqiya', 'No One Killed Jessica' and 'Kahaani', which made her come across as a strong female protagonist in all her roles.

But it was her 2011 biopic 'The Dirty Picture' on south film industry's sexy siren Silk Smitha which changed her image completely. Vidya perfected her acting ability for the role and the audiences loved her performance. She bagged all the major awards that year and even got the coveted National Award for Best Actress.

Vidya married film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012, and continued to do films. The actress has always impressed the viewers with her acting talent. On her birthday, which falls on the first day of the new year, we wish her a happy birthday and a prosperous new year.
