We asked you what your favourite Lata Mangeshkar song was, and we received quite a response.

We posed the same question to some film personalities, and here's what they chose. Take a look:

Lata MangeshkarUrmila Matondkar, actress

Sharmila Tagore, actress

Actor-producer Salman Khan, who is all set to produce the remake of Subhash Ghai's hit film Hero, will start rolling the cameras for the movie by early next year.

A 1983 film, Hero was directed by Subhash Ghai and featured Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri, who were new at that time.

"Yes, I am very happy that Hero is being remade and Salman Khan and his team will certainly do a good job. The film will be directed by Nikhil Advani and it will go on floors by early 2014," Ghai told IANS.

To be the first film being made under Salman Khan Productions, it will reportedly star Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya in the lead roles
In the action-thriller Commando, Vidyut Jamwal may have played her protector but it doesn't happen in real life, says Pooja Chopra and adds that every girl should learn self-defense.

"Everyday in the morning the first two pages of any newspaper are just full of news on rapes and assaults. If a woman learns self defense, then they will be able to protect themselves. I feel every woman should be her own commando," Pooja said.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the number of rape cases registered in India have increased by a startling 870 percent from 2,487 in 1971 to 24,206 in 2011.
In Commando, Vidyut played the title role and Pooja was seen as Simrit Kaur, a small town girl who fights for herself.
The actress said since it was a movie, a commando came to rescue Simrit but "in real life that does not happen."
"A girl will not get a commando to protect her always so she needs to become her own commando."
Looking at the current scenario in the country, Pooja says that even she is terrified of going outside her house after 11 p.m.
"I am not talking like an actress, or a former Miss India, but I do get scared if I have to go out somewhere after 11 p.m. Earlier, I used to just venture out, but today I feel scared, I don't feel that I am in a free country," she said.
Any suggestions for girls?
"Keep chilli sprays, pepper sprays and learn self-defense," she said. In real life, Pooja takes inspiration from her mom Neera Chopra who she calls her real commando
"It was 28 years ago when my mother walked out of my father's house. Why? Because my father did not want me, he wanted his second child to be a son.
"But then my mother took a decision and left him, just to raise me and give me a good upbringing. My mother is my commando in every true sense," said Pooja.
The former Miss India believes a woman is way stronger than a man and added: "If a woman decides to do something, she does it, be it in any situation, like my mother."
Our prediction comes true as sources say Pratyusha Banerjee's alleged ex might enter the 'Bigg Boss 7' house post their mock-fight

If rumours are to be belived, it would be such a predictable entry into the Bigg Boss house for Pratyusha Banerjee's ex boyfriend.

Sources say the television actress' beau, Makrand Malhotra has been approached to be a part of the reality show that is already on air. The buzz comes close on the heels of Pratyusha lodging a complaint with the police against her former beau for allegedly harassing her and her family.

An insider says, "If all goes well, Makrand will be part of the show. He will enter Hell where the actress is currently residing. In a Crossing the line?" (HitList, September 6) we had reported sources alleging that Pratyusha's much-public fight with Makrand just before she left the city for the show was just a publicity gimmick, a tried and tested way to gain publicity for Salman's reality show.

An insider says, "Just before Pratyusha rushed off to the police station to complain against Makrand, she had spent considerable amount of time in his company." Makrand however rubbished the rumours.

It looks like there is no sigh of relief for ace stand up comedian Kapil Sharma in the near future. After major fire breakdown at the sets of 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' now India's most sought after stand-up comedian has landed in the legal trouble for tax evasion. Reportedly in a recent development the Service Tax department has booked ace comedian for for non-payment of tax dues amounting approximately Rs 60 lakh.

As per the sources a tax liability of around Rs 60 lakh stands pending on the Kapil, and non-payment of which may lead to the initiation of legal proceedings against him. Reports even suggest that he was questioned yesterday by taxation department officials to present his perspective.

After reduction in the number of telecast-days of his show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" and a major fire break down on the sets of the show yesterday, this is a 3rd major set-back for this ace entertainer within last 10 days.
Lucky charm
I have been very lucky to perform with the best names in the industry. Every Hindi film that I have worked in has been different from one another. I want to do different work and try every possible genre and stretch my abilities as an actor. I have worked in films down South too and it is a different experience altogether.

However it is a myth that Bollywood is not as professional as the industry down South. Finding feet I started working after 12th standard. I didn't know anyone in the industry at that time. However, some of my closest friends have been the ones I have worked with.

Madhurima Tuli, Varun Sharma are some of my 4am friends. When you're working round the clock with each other, you tend to become close. However, the challenge of maintaining the friendship is when the film gets over and everyone gets busy with other work.
Birdwatchers have gone to town chirping about Abhinav Singh Kashyap's special fondness for his 'Besharam' heroine Pallavi Sharda

The two seem to be throwing caution to the wind, hitting the town with gusto. The duo was spotted at a restaurant in Andheri on Thursday night, waiting to catch a meal-for-two.

After locking lips with Randeep Hooda in John Day, German-Russian starlet Elena Kazan will be seen in a smoochfest with Chandan Roy Sanyal in the upcoming thriller 'Prague'

Ashish R Shukla's film apparently has several intimate scenes with Elena and Chandan. At this rate, Elena will be more known for her liplocks rather than acting.
John Abraham loses case to two-wheeler brand, forced to find alternate title for his film

The plans around John Abraham's next project, titled Hamara Bajaj had been scooting ahead until a two-wheeler company expressed its objections to using its brand name in the film's title.

The latest in the developments is that the Bombay High Court has given its verdict on the case in the scooter company's favour, forcing John and the film's director, Shoojit Sircar to think of an alternate title for their project.

John's next production revolves around a small-town tour guide, Sanjay Bajaj. However, looks like the moped brand honchos were not amused with the coincidence.

It was in March 2013 that Bajaj filed a case against the filmmakers for infringement of Intellectual Property Rights. The court has barred John and his team from using the brand name in the film's title and also ordered them to remove all references to Bajaj from the film.

A source says, `Bombay High Court passed its order granting permanent injunction against the Bollywood company from using Hamara Bajaj as the film's title or in any other manner in the proposed film. ` John, Shoojit and co-producer Ronnie Lahiri remained unavailable for comment.
Sunidhi Chauhan apparently skipped a recent bash afraid she might bump into her former husband, Bobby Khan

Though Sunidhi Chauhan may have remarried and closed the book on her previous marriage, but the singer apparently got cold feet at the prospect of coming face-to-face with her ex, Bobby Khan. Sources from a London hotel say that a few days ago, Sunidhi was in the capital city for her work commitments.

She was put up at the same hotel where her ex too was housed. A party had been organised to promote Ranbir Kapoor's Besharam in the city and Sunidhi expressed her interest to attend the party to meet Ranbir, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor and the film's team.

Incidentally, Bobby is the international promoter of the film. Says an insider, `When Bobby learnt about his ex's wish, he sent a personal invite to the singer for the bash. Though Sunidhi initially accepted the invitation, she failed to turn up at the event. `

Sources say while Sunidhi blamed her absence on ill health, sources say the lady had second thoughts about meeting Bobby at the party. `Sunidhi was aware that Bobby was in the same hotel, ` says her friend. The singer and her former spouse remained unavailable for comment.
