No matter how much we groan or grumble, remakes and sequels are here to stay.

And so brace yourself for yet another beloved in a new avatar with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's remake of his 1991 romantic musical, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin.

Starring Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher and daughter Pooja, DHKMN revolves around a spoilt heiress who runs away from home to marry a gold-digging film star. En route she's helped by a smart-alecky journalist only to end up falling for him.

The premise, we all know, was previously tackled in Chori Chori starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis, which itself took inspiration from Hollywood's It Happened One Night.

But the goofy chemistry between the first-time paired actors along with Nadeem Shravan's breezy soundtrack hit box-office jackpot.

Bhatt plans to cast nephew Emraan Hashmi in the role of eccentric scribe Raghu Jaitley while the hunt for the actress to play Pooja Dharamchand is still on.
