'Why This Kolaveri Di' star Dhanush releases 'Mariyaan'

Directed by Bharat Bala, Mariyaan stars Dhanush opposite popular South Indian actress Parvathi Menon.
The film is based around a real-life incident when three oil workers from India were kidnapped and taken hostage in Sudan by mercenaries.
Dhanush is reported to have filmed at locations across India, Sudan, Liberia and Namibia.
The project's music has been composed by Academy Award winner AR Rahman.

Mariyaan released worldwide and in the UK on July 19.
