Akshay Kumar has announced that his Marathi language project 72 Miles - Ek Pravas is to screen at the London Indian Film Festival.
The Bollywood star has co-produced the coming-of-age movie set in 1970s rural India.

Kumar revealed on Facebook: "We are proud to announce our 1st Marathi film, 72 Miles - Ek Pravas has been chosen to be screened at the London Film Festival today."
The film follows the journey of Ashok - a 13-year-old boy undertaking a 72-mile trip on foot - and his encounter with a woman and her family he meets on the way.
Directed by Rajeev Patil, the project is an adaptation of a classic autobiographical Marathi novel by Ashok Vhaktar.
72 Miles - Ek Pravas screens at Cineworld, Shaftesbury Avenue today (July 20) at 4pm.
