After giving birth to daughter, Aaradhya, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has received a lot of criticism for not losing the baby weight right away. But Mrs. Bachchan didn’t let that get to her, she ignored it saying that she wanted to enjoy motherhood first.

About 16 months after her daughter’s birth, the former Miss World seemed to have shed the pounds. IB Times reported that the actress didn’t turn to any fitness trainers to lose weight. She took a break for almost two years, not seeming bothered by her figure at all.
Aside from her weight loss, the actress was seen in several advertisements including L’Oreal and Kalyan Jewellers. She also stunned audiences with her performance at the 50th edition of Ponds Femina Miss India 2013, which was her first appearance on stage after giving birth and losing a considerable amount of weight. She danced to one of the songs of her last movie, "Guzarish," which released in 2011.

It’s been two years since the actress has released a movie. She has been keeping busy for some time with her baby girl, but now she might be ready to get back into the film industry. There has been talk that Mrs. Bachchan will continue her acting career and do a remake of the classic film "Bemisal," directed by Karan Johar.

“Karan has been thinking about casting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play Rakhee’s character from the original. In fact, he is in talks with Aishwarya,” a source told Bollywood Celebden. “She has been away from the films for a while and we haven’t heard of a confirmation yet from her end. But if all goes well, we will hopefully see her return to the big screen with this.”
