Anil Kapoor‘s ambitious TV show 24, officially based on an American series of the same name, airs its first episode on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10pm on Colors. Rumours say the show’s first Indian season will be telecast on Friday-Saturday every weekend. The channel is yet to give an official confirmation on the timings.

Kapoor starred in the eighth season of the US version of 24, playing the role of president of an Arabian country. He later bought the rights for the Indian version and will essay the title role of Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) from the original.

The Indian 24 is directed by Delhi Belly man Abhinay Deo and stars Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher and Mandira Bedi, among others.

Incidentally, 24 will replace a much popular stand-up comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil. Watch this space for more updates
