With an illustrious cricketing background running in the family, it isn't surprising that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's 12-year-old son Ibrahim chose to play the sport.

With Iftikhar Ali Khan and Mansur Ali Khan Tiger Pataudi as his great grandfather and grandfather respectively, Ibrahim is carrying forward the legacy as he gets ready to take baby steps on the cricket field.

Iftikhar and Tiger captained the Indian cricket. Ibrahim, the son of Saif and his first wife Amrita Singh, will make his Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) debut by playing for Dhirubhai Ambani International School (BKC) in the Giles Shield inter-school cricket tournament for boys U-14 in November this year.

Confirming the news, a Dhirubhai Ambani school official said, "Yes, Ibrahim will play in the MSSA's cricket tournament this year. The Class VII student is looking forward to play for the school.

He has been practising with the team from the time school reopened. "Though he is a starĂ¢€™s son, he is a normal cricketer for us. I hope he performs in the tournament," the official added.
