New Delhi: National award winning actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who was held on charges of prostitution by the Hyderabad police, can now heave a sigh of relief, as sessions court in Nampally has ordered her release from the rescue house.
The 23-year-old young actress was given the relief of staying with her mother and brother in Mumbai, by the court. She had been staying in the rescue home for about two months. A lower court had directed Shweta to continue her stay at the rescue home for six months as part of 'rehabilitation' on September 30, 2014. However, her mother was allowed by the court to file a revision plea challenging the order, reportedly.
The 'Makdee' actress was was caught in a compromising position, when the police raided a plush hotel at Banjara Hills. The actress was held in company of a pimp, along with some high profile businessmen from Mumbai, reports suggested.
According to reports, the young actress due to her financial losses took to flesh trade and voluntarily got into the prostitution racket.
