Sujoy Ghosh has approached Jacqueline Fernandez and not Deepika Padukone for his next

Just a few days back, it was being speculated that Deepika Padukone may star in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming directorial venture which is said to be the adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s book The Devotion of Suspect X. Rumours about Sujoy teaming up with the Bajirao Mastani actress started doing the rounds after the former dropped by on the sets of Piku in Kolkata. However, Dippy hasn’t been offered any project by the talented filmmaker. While talking to a leading daily, Ghosh confirmed the news and said, “I am not even considering her (Deepika) for my film.”

Interestingly, its Jacqueline Fernandez who in in talks with Sujoy Ghosh for the same film. And it won’t be long before the deal gets sealed. The Kick actress told the same daily, “Yes, I have been approached by Sujoy. But its too early to talk about it as the paper work is yet to be done. I am excited about reuniting with him after (Aladin) and sharing screen space with Saif.”

The desi adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X will have Saif Ali Khan in the lead and the film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor
