It seems, Bollywood queen Priyanka Chopra has decided to make the US her second home. As the multi-talented actress, who had signed a one-year talent holding deal with ABC Studios, is off to Los Angeles for three months as she begins shooting for an as-yet undisclosed show.

But the big news here is that PC is reportedly getting Rs.25 crore for the ABC show! A leading portal also reports that for the duration of her stay there, she will stay at a luxurious, customised villa.

The portal quoted a source as saying, "A space is being designed to function as a temple area where PC can pray everyday. Several portraits of herself and her family will be put up. An interior designer has also noted down the kind of upholstery she likes."

However, as lavish as this deal sounds, the actress had, in the very recent past, exclusively told this writer that she feels women all over the world are underpaid. She said, "Women are underpaid everywhere. Even in Hollywood, compared to the men, women are underpaid. Very few women are such who get paid as much. I think we live in a male-dominated world. If you are vying for the same position, women just get paid less."

Priyanka said in a statement earlier, "I've been a longtime fan of ABC shows, and an admirer of how the network has changed the landscape of TV through the diversity of their lead characters. As an intrinsic creative, I am drawn to opportunities that test me in new ways. I'm honored by the opportunity to share my talent with a game-changing network, and I'm very much looking forward to participate in this new endeavor."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network will either cast the 32-year-old actress in one of their fall 2015 shows or she'll develop her own starring vehicle.

Priyanka Chopra has had a good year in 2014 with masala entertainer Gunday bringing her moolah and biopic Mary Kom accolades. Her third single, a cover of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" also found its place on music charts.

With the award season in full swing, actor Arjun Rampal says that such functions are money making businesses, except for the National Award.

The actor, who hails from a non-film background, says he doesn't feel like an outsider.

"I don't feel as an outsider in this industry. I have immense respect for the industry and will do anything and everything in my power to contribute back to it," he said.

Actress Swathi Reddy, who is basking in the success of ‘Karthikeya’, is being considered for the sequel to last year’s Telugu sleeper hit ‘Geethanjali’. The rest of the cast is expected to be finalised soon.

“The plan to make a sequel was finalised in December last year. Since then the makers have been on the lookout for a suitable heroine to play the titular role. Swathi Reddy is likely to be part of the sequel. The talks are going on,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

‘Geethanjali’, a horror-comedy, was received very well and turned out to be one of the profitable ventures of 2014.

Anjali, who played the lead in the original, won’t be part of the sequel.
“Since this will be a fresh script, the producer felt it would make sense to cast someone else,” the source added.

Raj Kiran, the director of ‘Geethanjali’, will helm its sequel too. It will be produced by Chinnababu.

Rakul Preet Singh first faced the camera when she was all of two, and her love for showbiz since has only grown manifold. Having done her fair share of catwalks before entering films, she says modelling gives newcomers a push into the movie world.

Rakul, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Yaariyan’ and has starred in various southern films like ‘Venkatadri Express’, ‘Loukyam’ and ‘Current Theega’, calls herself a “filmy kid”.

“I was a filmy kid. I was two when I faced the camera for the first time. My parents realised it pretty early and I’m really thankful to them for their support and help. I did modelling for a year, but then I always wanted to be an actress,” Rakul told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

A former Miss India contestant, Rakul started paving her way to films through the ramp.

Asked why she chose a modelling career if she had her eyes set on films, the Delhi-born beauty said: “Beauty pageants work as a platform from where you can reach out to many. Although they are two different fields, they come under the same group.

“For newcomers, modelling is like a stepping stone to acting. The exposure and experience in modelling helps…But for acting, we have to show a lot of hard work and dedication towards it.”

On the film front, Rakul will next be seen in two southern movies — ‘Pandaga Chesko’ and ‘Kick 2′
.
Apart from that, in the Bollywood space she will play an “independent girl” in filmmaker Ramesh Sippy’s light-hearted comedy “Shimla Mirchi”, which stars veteran actress Hema Malini and actor Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film is likely to release in June this year.

Veteran actress-social activist Shabana Azmi on Sunday said actresses should make "informed" choices on accepting item numbers as such sequences lead to sexualisation of children.

"I am saying let it be an informed decision. I am not going to dictate this is what you should do. But be aware that when you do a song like that, it is leading to the sexualisation of children and there are four-year-old girls dancing at all kinds of weddings to really really bad songs.

"So be vigilant of the fact that this is leading to the sexualisation of children and if this is something that you would like to do. Make your own choice but make sure it is an informed choice," she said at a special session of the Kolkata Literary Meet here to a query on responsibility of actresses while doing item numbers.

Shabana also batted for "self-regulation" on part of the film industry but also stressed one couldn't surrender to the moral brigade.

"Self-regulation is very important for the film industry. It is a very thin ice because if you start saying this is wrong, this item number is wrong, then tomorrow the moral brigade will say don't wear this, don't do this. You can't surrender to the moral brigade, so whatever comes must come from yourself," she added.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia are happy that the Mauli Mauli song from their film Lai Bhaari was used to represent the tableau of Maharashtra at the 66th Republic Day parade today.
The song, crooned by Marathi singer Ajay Gogavale, was played at the backdrop of the state’s tableau when it rolled out on the Rajpath featuring the holy Pandharpur Yatra.

“Lai Bhaari Moment-Maharashtra State representation at the Republic Day Parade ws done on Mauli Mauli song. #MeProud,” Riteish, 36, tweeted. Lai Bhaari, which released last year, marked the debut of the actor in Marathi cinema. The film was produced by his wife Genelia, 27, who also made a guest appearance in the movie.

“As a producer of Lai Bhari- thrilled that Mauli song was used to represent the State of Maharashtra. Barack Obama‘s first Marathi song,” Genelia wrote

Pataudi beti, actress Soha Ali Khan married actor Kunal Khemu in a private ceremony in Mumbai today in the presence of select members of her family including mother Sharmila Tagore, brother Saif Ali Khan and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor.

Theirs was the perfect royal family. While the bride looked lovely in a cream and orange lehenga-choli, her sister-in-law was spectacular in a champagne-pink sari by designer Manish Malhotra. Saif was the perfect nawab in a white achkan, a pink turban adding to his dapper look.

Sharmila Tagore looked elegant in a white and gold  while Soha's sister, jewellery designer Saba Ali Khan added colour to the festivities in embellished pink and green.

Conspicuous by her absence was Saif's ex-wife Amrita Singh and their daughter Sara. Their son Ibrahim, a dead ringer for his father, stood tall by Saif's side.

Soha's wedding festivities commenced on January 22 with an intimate bachelorette party thrown by her girlfriends, including actresses Neha Dhupia and Konkona Sen Sharma. A mehendi function was held the next day with Saif and Kareena by her side. The Rang De Basanti actress had worn a leheriya and gota-work outfit by Ritu Kumar.

The low-key wedding was a stark contrast to the grand celebration that marked Saif's wedding to Kareena in 2012.

WHILE MR THAROOR WAS IN THE PINK CITY FOR THE JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL, SALMAN, WHO LOOKED EXTREMELY WEARY, WAS PROBABLY ON HIS WAY BACK FROM MANDAWA WHERE HE HAD BEEN SHOOTING FOR HIS UPCOMING FILM BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN

It was a chance encounter of sorts, but one that left both actor Salman Khan and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor pleased with the outcome after they bonded on a flight from Jaipur to Ahmedabad.

While Mr Tharoor was in the Pink City for the Jaipur Literature Festival, Salman, who looked extremely weary, was probably on his way back from Mandawa where he had been shooting for his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

And the long delay in the departure of the flight didn't seem to help the actor either.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who was last seen in the 2013 release ‘Shortcut Romeo’, is looking forward to ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo‘ which stars superstar Salman Khan in the lead. The actor says the film is shaping up very well.

“Just wishing myself to work very hard. I’ve an exciting film releasing this year ‘Pream Ratan Dhan Payo’… It’s shaping up very well, a lot of work is still left. But, hopefully a Diwali release… so, looking forward to it,” said Neil here Thursday.

Neil is playing one of the pivotal roles in the film along with actress Swara Bhaskar.

On being asked to give some more details about the film, Neil said: “I don’t want to spill the beans actually. But it’s a film that one should look forward to. It is very different from typical Sooraj Barjatya film. It is a family-oriented, family drama film. It is set in a royalty family… It’s an opus. So, yes, looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, Neil also praised his co-stars Sonam Kapoor and Salman Khan.

“I’ve worked with Sonam before in Players. She is a great person, she has evolved as an actor… and I love to see the confidence she has right now. As far as Salman bhai (Salman Khan) is concerned, he is like my elder brother. Words are not enough to praise him. He is a great human being… he is so helpful and very supportive,”

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is scheduled for release at Diwali 2015. It marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya as director after almost 15 years.

To be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, ‘Fitoor’ will also feature Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Actress Taapsee Pannu is glad that she landed a role in “Baby” as she feared getting typecast in “college girl” roles in Bollywood.

“After ‘Chashme Baddoor’, I was getting the same kind of college girl role offers. I thought I will get typecast in Bollywood and will not get anything else. So I thought before I get stamped for doing similar roles, I should do ‘Baby’. I’m glad I did this film,” Taapsee told IANS.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film features Akshay Kumar, Rana Daggubati and Anupam Kher, and it tackles the theme of terrorism.

New Delhi: One of the most popular faces on Indian television—comedy king Kapil Sharma got all the recognition and fame through his hit show, 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'. It became a platform for all the Bollywood stars to promote their films and at the same time interact with the fans directly.

However, with the onslaught of new year—there was a 'not-so-good' news for the followers. The famous comedy show has cut down on its episodes, from twice a week to once a week. Reports suggest that from January onwards, this shall be the trend, as Kapil needs to devote time for his Bollywood debut.

Reason behind Kapil's show going once a week is probably because he has started shooting for director duo Abbas-Mustan's film. Also, there are reports suggesting that due to time constraint, the maverick funnyman was unable to give his creative inputs in the show. Therefore, the quality of the content has suffered.

Although, no official statement has been made in this regard, either by Kapil or by the makers as yet.

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the small screen with a bang - he will host ‘India Poochega - Sabse Shaana Kaun’, a game show adapted from the ‘Who's Asking?’ international format.

The show will air on &TV, a new Hindi general entertainment channel launched by Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited (ZEEL) Wednesday night here.

Looking his charming self, Shah Rukh took mediapersons present at the launch through the show's format.

He said: "I like the question and answer format. I do that with my children and family. This show will deal with questions that have been asked by common man and will be answered by the common man himself to win the prize money.

"The questions will be those which people think are easy to answer or sometimes don't even think about it. Many people have different questions to ask. I will just make sure the show has a lot of fun."

The 49-year-old, who sported a dapper, clean-shaven look in a formal blue suit, ensured the audience had a taste of the entertainment in store from the show, at the launch itself. His sense of humour and one-liners did the trick.

Shah Rukh even gave a glimpse into the show's format by playing it live with mediapersons.

‘India Poochega - Sabse Shaana Kaun’ is produced by Big Synergy and will be aired on &TV in March.

The 49-year-old, who started his showbiz career from TV itself -- via fiction shows like 'Fauji' and 'Circus', has previously hosted reality shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain’ and ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’. He was also seen as a judge on ‘Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale’, which was brought to TV for the promotion of his film ‘Happy New Year’ last year.

Asked how it feels to be back on TV after becoming the most loved Bollywood actor around the globe, SRK said: "The television industry and film industry understand each other and they work in synergy. I started with TV, but I haven't given such a brilliant performance so far.

"So, I would want to give back to TV. I feel this show will help me in achieving that."

He also feels that the only reason he has been away from TV for sometime is because he likes to work with those who are like family to him.

"I always wait for something like this. I am little spoilt as an actor and as a performer. I like to work with people who are family and take my little bit of unprofessionalism," he quipped.

"I didn't get anything interesting till this show, and also, I was too busy with other projects," he added.

While Shah Rukh was on stage, one scribe asked him who according to him is the most "shaana" (streetsmart) actor or actress.

He smiled and answered, "If I will tell any name, you will make an entire show on that, so let's just skip that."

Apart from roping in King Khan for its game show, &TV has also come up with line-up of other shows like ‘Razia Sultana’, ‘Begusarai’, ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!a and ‘Badii Devrani’.

‘Begusarai’ is set in the hinterland of Bihar and has been produced by Saregama Productions. The channel has roped in filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia to design the first look of the show.

‘Razi Sultan’ on the other hand is an untold story of the 13th century. It is produced by Swastik Productions.

‘Bhabiji...’ will bring in the life of lively lanes of Kanpur and will share the journey of two neighbouring couples, whereas ‘Badiia’ will bring out the essence of relationships.

Not only shows, &TVA has also come up with the soulful rendition of ‘Jashn jeena ka’ that has been conceptualised and created by music duo Sachin-Jigar.

"&TV will offer a more substantial viewing experience to an audience that is always seeking fresh and relevant content. The channel extends our Hindi entertainment portfolio under the '&' bouquet and will add to the consolidation of our leading position in the entertainment industry," said Punit Goenka, managing director and CEO, Zee.

After being a success as an author of a book for Bollywood aspirants, one wondered if the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and ‘Qissa’ actress is contemplating using her writing skills for movies.

When asked about it, she told IANS: “Yes. There are talks going on a few things…it takes time. Along with my acting, I am also working on that (writing). Hopefully, soon things will fall into place.”

I’m not writing them completely, I’m co-writing them.”

Tisca feels the Indian audience needs to be fed with intelligent content.

“Audiences are not dumb. If you make an intelligent film, people do watch it. But the problem is that we look for formulas. I am working on it,” she said, adding that one of her writing projects will be a courtroom drama, and the other will be a children’s story.
What about directing them?

“I’m not capable of that. But I am co-writing them. I’m very keen on these projects. I’m also thankful to the industry people who have immensely supported me — be it Boman Irani, Anil Kapoor,

Rajkumar Hirani, Shabana Azmi…everybody is supporting me. There is so much of love in this industry,

The video, titled Perfume Portraits, features Katrina posing in a purple gown. It also shows the photographer feeling the actress' photographs with his hands.

"With every photograph I took, her fragrance formed a vision in my mind," Bhavesh said in a statement.

Bhavesh, born visually impaired, not only has a nose for fragrances and ears to catch sound action, but an acute sense to judge distances between his camera and subjects and how to use new technology for good shot.

On the film front, Katrina will be seen next in Phantom opposite Saif Ali Khan and in Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor.

Bollywood’s reigning queen Deepika Padukone was recently spotted outside the old Kolkata Terminal on January 16. She was in the city as the shoot of her upcoming movie ‘Tamasha’ was underway in the suburbs.

Dressed in a floral tee and denims along with a yellow overcoat, Deepika Padukone looked pretty. She was accompanied by director Imtiaz Ali. She started shooting for the movie in France last year and was later seen in Shimla for another schedule of Tamasha.

Exes Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, whose crackling onscreen chemistry won many hearts in movies like ‘Bachna Ae Haseenon’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani’, will yet again be seen together in ‘Tamasha’.

After the Kolkata schedule, Deepika and Ranbir will be shooting for the film’s last schedule in Dehli next month.

‘Tamasha’ revolves around a nomad played by Ranbir Kapoor and in Corsica, he bumps into a comic book lover potrayed by Deepika Padukone. The movie is slated to release around Christmas of 2016.

Like brother, like sister it is. Just like Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan will also have a registered marriage with long time beau and now fiance Kunal Khemu in Mumbai.

The wedding is slated to take place on January 25 under the Special Marriage Act.

The ceremony is said to be a private and low-key affair and only close friends and family members will be invited. Most of the friends of Soha and Kunal are said to be not from the movie background.
Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu got engaged in Paris in July last year where Kunal proposed her lady love with a ring. Soha had, promptly, then called her mother Sharmila.

Sharmila Tagore, on the other hand, had been planning for her daughter’s wedding since long now. She, reportedly, bought a Rs 9 cr apartment in Mumbai in 2012 as a gift.

Actor-filmmaker-singer Farhan Akhtar has sung the first duet of his career with actress-singer Priyanka Chopra for his sister's forthcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do.

Confirming the exciting combination, Farhan said "Yes, Priyanka and I have sung a duet in Dil Dhadakne Do.

So far, Farhan has only crooned solo songs in Rock On!!, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

According to sources, the duo have sung a "smouldering smoky love ballad steeped in nostalgia and longing".

Needless to say the song has been filmed on Farhan and Priyanka, as neither actor-turned-singer is willing to playback for other actors.

"I don't see myself giving voice to other actors. It just doesn't work for me," said Farhan.

As for Priyanka, one has ample reason to believe she wouldn't sing for other heroines, especially when the new breed of female actors are most eager to give voice to their own songs. Actress Alia Bhatt crooned in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Highway and Shraddha Kapoor turned a playback singer for Ek Villain.

Bollywood got a little south parked in it's turf on Monday when we chatted with Akshara Haasan, who is set to make her Bollywood debut with Shamitabh.

Shamitabh may be about ego clashes but its young star seems as diffident as you can get, even as she insists she's not intimidated.

Akshara may have learned more than a thing or two from her famous family but singing isn't one of them. Akshara says "I'm a terrible singer. I wish I could sing. When I think I'm singing, I'm actually going really off-tune."

As for competition on the big screen, Akshara occupies an interesting place as she's the only other actor in Bollywood who is in the same age group as Alia Bhatt (born in 1993).

Talking about competition with Alia, Akshara says "It's a healthy thing. It is there in every profession. I'm happy I have her (Alia Bhatt)".

However, industry insiders feel Alia is indeed safe at the top of her game. Akshara, who reminds us of a younger Vasundhara Das, may be fresh faced but definitely lacks the chutzpah Alia showed us right off the bat. Akshara's sister Shruti Haasan may have always had a back up plan with music when her luck at acting didn't pan out but clearly that's not an option for Akshara. It seems as that Bollywood is still curious about Kamal Hassan's younger daughter with rumours swirling that Akshara's next will be with Sridevi.

Talking about her future plans, Akshara says "It's a work in progress. There are a lot of discussions which are still in the early stages and few that haven't happened as yet, but I'm looking forward to see what is there for me. But nothing has been confirmed as yet. "

Here's hoping that Akshara proves she's more than just a pretty face because we are more than happy when a first impression doesn't turn out to be a last impression.

While others may film history lessons 'boring, stretched and dull', actress-producer Preity Zinta has come up with an interesting method to gulp down all the facts, and that's through watching "true stories" on screen.

The actress, who was last seen, in a cameo role, in the 2014 film Happy Ending, praised Oscar nominated film American Sniper, which is based on the biography of American army sniper Chris Kyle.

Starring Bradley Cooper, the film encapsulates the internal as well as external turmoil of Chris, starting from his childhood right through his marriage and short career span that lasted only four trips to the strife-torn zone in Iraq.

Southern superstar Dhanush, who made a successful Bollywood debut in 2013 with Raanjhanaa, is gearing up for the release of his second Hindi film, Shamitabh. He says its concept may sound serious, but at heart it's a fun-filled entertainer.

"This film is about ego clash. The concept might sound serious but it's a very fun-filled film. There is amazing humour in this film. It's a new concept and hopefully it will be a refreshing experience for the audience," Dhanush said.

The actor is guarded about not revealing much about his character in Shamitabh.

"I don't have the liberty to say what my character is about. It is very close to the script, and if I say anything about my character, it'll be revealing the story of the film," he added.

Shamitabh, directed by R Balki, is said to be the story of an actor and his dubbing artist. The film will see Dhanush share screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and debutante Akshara Haasan.

The first look of upcoming romantic comedy film katti Batti starring actors Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut is out and they look good. They look very good.

Images of Imran sporting spectacles and Kangana, well looking different from all her other roles made their way to the internet recently. The two have been paired together for the first time in the film which is directed by Nikhil Advani.

Nikhil, who is known for films like Kal Ho Na Ho isn't new to romantic comedies but Kangana feels this time it's different. In an interview to IANS she had said: "It is a very good love story. It's different from the usual love stories that we get to see in Bollywood films. The element of love has been depicted in a different way in that film. The film's idea and philosophy is very good."

Katti Batti remains an important film for Nikhil and Imran who haven't been among hits for a while now. But if this first look test is anything to go by then we might have a winner on our hands.

Actress Richa Chadha is doing some "homework" for her role in the film Cabaret, by trying to take up as many live dance performances as possible.

In preparation for her character of a professional cabaret dancer, Richa is said to have asked her management to get her to do live dance performances. She has been insistent that she takes on as many stage performance acts simply to help her groom and be better with her dancing 'on stage' skills.

A trained Kathak dancer, Richa said in a statement, "Since I am getting back to dancing after some gap of time, I thought some amount of stage practice would be of great help. It would be a great addition for the homework of my character by performing live."

Earlier this month itself, the Tamanchey actress was seen shaking a leg alongside Hrithik Roshan and Parineeti Chopra at the Saifai Mahaotsav.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan, who has had two back-to-back super successful outings with ‘Dhoom 3’ in 2013 and ‘PK’ in 2014, believes in remaining tight-lipped about his projects.

Buzz has it that the superstar is gearing up to essay the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari's ‘Dangal’. Reports suggest that the actor will play father to two daughters, both of who are wrestlers.

The film will reportedly lay emphasis on the importance of sports and encourage parents to let their children take up sports as a career or purse anything that they want.

Aamir’s films have always directly or indirectly spoken about socially relevant messages. ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘3 Idiots’ are classic examples.

The ‘Mr.Perfectionist’ of Bollywood refrained from giving any information from his end about ‘PK’ and may remain equally silent about his next – ‘Dangal’.

New Delhi: The latest sensation in Bollywood, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan made his presence felt in the country with Zindagi channel's 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' and 'Humsafar'. What followed was female frenzy for Fawad. He made his impressive debut opposite Sonam Kapoor as a Royal prince in 'Khoobsurat'.

The latest buzz around the dashing actor is that, he might be seen in Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Madamji'. The film which is helmed by ace filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, is reportedly a story which shows how an item girl turns politician.

Although, no confirmation has been made either by the filmmaker or by the actors as yet, the rumour mills are abuzz with this bit of gossip. Well, if this turns out to be true, then it would be interesting to see what the fresh pairing of Priyanka and Fawad have in store for us.

Mumbai: The inmates of the special series of 'Bigg Boss season 8 – Halla Bol' – are making the most of the latest luxury budget task to vent out their angst against their ‘enemies’. Karishma Tanna was one among those who made use of the task to hold Rahul Mahajan guilty of trying to flirt with her despite legally being Dimpy’s husband.

In Wednesday’s episode, the Champions were seen making calls to the call center run by the Challengers. And that was when Karishma decided to speak with Rahul and instigate him with all the allegations. But Rahul remained undeterred and politely listened to her.

Dimpy was seemingly at discomfort as she did not want Karishma to cite personal differences and animosity during the course of the task. But Karishma chose to go against Dimpy’s request subsequently making her cry.

Dimpy has categorically admitted to having a soft corner for her estranged husband and that she will always express her displeasure if someone ever tries to talk against Rahul. The girl was seen giving a tight hug to her husband after he was left embarrassed by Karishma.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, Akshay Kumar‘s resume boasts of films of different genres  be it comedy, action or drama, and he says rather than running after superstardom, his focus has always been to be known as an actor.

“I don’t want to be typecast in any particular genre… I think no one can ask me this question that why I only do the same kind of films because I have never done that in my career. I would like to be known as an actor and not a superstar. I don’t like the tag of superstar,” Akshay said in an interview here.
