Gossip suggesting a romantic relationship between the two started just because Iulia was spotted wearing a 'Being Human' t-shirt

Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan's recent patch up at Baba Siddiqui's party, have supposedly created a lot of positivity in the industry. While the duo Khans chose to maintain silence over their recent patch-up, here's the Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan who seems very happy over this reconciliation. Talking to a leading daily, Aamir Khan said that he feels very happy when people become friends and hug each other. "Jab dosti hoti hai, aur log gale milte hai to acchi baat hai. Mujhe bahut khushi hoti hai. Aur mujhe badi khushi hai (when friendships are struck and people hug each other, it's a good thing. It makes me very happy. I am very pleased (about the hug)," Aamir told the daily.

Yes, you read it right! Katrina Kaif, who was clicked in a bikini with rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor recently, is apparently very happy with the leaked pictures. Stardust magazine's latest issue carried the images of bikini clad Katrina Kaif with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Few days back, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who never accepted the fact that they are dating each other, were spotted getting cozy in Ibiza. Now, it is said that Katrina is very happy that finally the cat is out out of the bag!

Unlike many of her peers, Katrina Kaif strangely has no home to call her own in the city

While the rest of Bollywood folk seem to be real estate savvy, looks like Katrina Kaif prefers to make her investments elsewhere.

Those close to the actress say that even though she has been house hunting since the last four years, she is yet to take a call on a pad that she can call her own. Kat has been around in Bollywood for almost a decade now.

Insiders say that perhaps it's Katrina's indecisiveness that could be blamed for why she still lives in a rented apartment in Bandra. Her peers like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are proud owners of plush pads in Mumbai.

Source says, `She was allegedly keen on leasing out a Carter Road duplex belonging to a National Award-winning filmmaker but backed out after showing initial interest. She was said to have fallen in love with the place for its alluring view of the sea. But after a while, she simply changed her mind.`

The 30-year-old British citizen reportedly owns properties in her hometown London. `This habit seems to be irking those who have been helping her find her dream home.` Apparently once in the recent past, her superstition came in the way of almost signing a deal.

`We went to check out a property recently. Just as we were about to leave the elevator, she got an SMS informing her of the death of a celebrated actor. She immediately dropped the plan and left the place saying it was an inauspicious start to the day,` states another source.

Confirming that Katrina is still looking to purchase a house, the actress' spokesperson adds, `She has been very busy lately with her shoot schedules. That is one of the reasons why she has not been able to make up her mind yet.`
The 47-year-old actor is keen to finish shooting of the reality show before completion of the 2002 hit-and-run trial, in which he faces charges of culpable homicide

He may be buried deep in legal woes, but on the professional front, it seems that Salman Khan is riding very high. The 47-year-old actor will be once again breaking records, as he is set to become the highest paid actor on television -- with a salary of Rs 130 crore.

Sources within the industry say that Khan, who was being paid a whopping Rs 2.5 crore per episode to host Bigg Boss Season 6, will now be paid Rs 5 crore per episode for Season 7.

This year, the reality television show produced by Colors and first developed by Endemol, will see the star in a double role, as the show's concept is of heaven and hell. Salman, who will appear for a total of 26 episodes, will be portraying the roles of angel and devil.

A source told MiD DAY, `This year Salman has charged a substantial amount as he has a double role. So, the shooting takes more time and the concept is different. He will shoot two episodes in a day per week.`

When asked why he would be shooting two episodes a day, the source added, `He wants to finish shooting before the trial for his 2002 hit-and-run case draws to a close.` The trial will begin on August 19.

With Salman's stock rising and him receiving a big fat chunk of change, talks are swirling about the company recovering costs and the effect it will have on advertising during the show. While the main sponsor of the show was Vodafone last year, this year the company is still in talks with few major players.

According to another source, `The company will hike the ad rates because it's a premium show which is extremely popular with a large scale family audience, which caters to almost every product in advertising. People love to watch the show and it also garners a high TRP rating so word is that Colors will hike the ad rates.`
When MiD DAY contacted Colors, a spokesperson from the parent company Viacom said, `As a policy we do not comment on artist's remunerations.` He added about advertising, `The show has just been announced, so it's too early to talk about the concept and the company is still in talks with other companies regarding sponsorship

Seeing the bonding between telly actresses Drashti Dhami and Sanaya Irani on the sets of a dance reality show, judge Karan Johar quipped that in Bollywood no two actresses can be friends
He asked co-judge Madhuri Dixit which actress was her buddy. Mads flashed her pearlies and said her lips are sealed. Hmmm...

Television has been seeing a number of new players venturing into the field of production, with established filmmakers and actors, too, showing a keen interest. Deepali Dhingra takes a look at this growing trend

Amitabh Bachchan had already taken the plunge. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had also done it. So it was only a matter of time that Aamir Khan too, succumbed to the lure of the small screen.

But when the intellectual actor stepped into television, he took it one step further -- by producing the show himself. Satyamev Jayate was not just Khan's launch vehicle for being in front of the camera on the small screen, but the first television show for his production company Aamir Khan Productions as well.

The first season received a positive response from critics and audience alike, and work on the second season of the show is already underway.

This year, a number of new players are expected to join the expanding world of television. Big B, who has successfully hosted quite a few seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati and is all set to host another season, is joining hands with Endemol India to co-produce a fiction series to be aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

With this show, he will revive his television production company Saraswati Creations that has earlier produced shows like Dekh Bhai Dekh. The creative director of the show will be Anurag Kashyap. Anil Kapoor has acquired the rights of the American series 24, of which he was a part and is producing its Indian version for Colors.

With Satyamev Jayate, Aamir Khan made his foray into small screen as a producer last year

And while Bachchan and Kapoor are still in the process of bringing out their television shows, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has already made his television debut with the serial Saraswatichandra that airs on Star Plus.

There were rumours that Anurag Basu will be making an Indian adaptation of the hit American series Prison Break, but the director recently denied it. But he did admit to a leading daily that he is working on two ideas for the small screen.

New Delhi: It is the season of love in Bollywood. A few days back, we saw how Ranbir and Katrina are enjoying a romantic holiday in Spain, and now news of another pair of celebrity lovebirds relishing a romantic outing has reached our ears.

John Abraham has said that he plans to direct a big-budget film starring unknown actors.

The Madras Café star, who recently turned producer for the national award winning Vicky Donor, explained that he wanted to support new talent in the industry.

Speaking to The Times of India, he said: "I will direct a big budget film with newcomers. I don't know why studios don't make big budget films with newcomers! We need to support them.

"Why do we only make big budget films with only top five actors? Why aren't we getting mature? We all need to come out of that.

"I want to direct films. Whenever the right time comes, I will get into it."

The 40-year-old recently marked his tenth anniversary in the industry as an actor.

In February, the star said that he felt he had to prove himself to critics because of his background as a model. He also expressed his ambition to direct a film starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Abraham reportedly has plans to open up his production company in London.

Hrithik Roshan’s sudden surgery may hamper Katrina’s forthcoming films
At the beginning of this year after planning her work so meticulously, Katrina Kaif may have not thought in the wildest of her dreams that her work would be in a precarious condition. Katrina started the year with at least three big ticket projects including Dhoom: 3 with Aamir Khan, Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan and a yet untitled film starring Saif Ali Khan. However, with Hrithik’s surgery sidetracking the entire schedule of Bang Bang, Katrina is in a real fix!

Apparently, after completing Bang Bang, Katrina was supposed to work with the Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan in a film starring Saif Ali Khan in November. But now, with Bang Bang getting delayed to November, Katrina may lose out on this film! She was rumoured to be doing Farah Khan’s Happy New Year with Shahrukh Khan, but with Farah quashing the rumours, it seems Katrina is truly out of work for now! But not to worry as her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor is keeping her good company to chase away her blues! But we really hope that the pretty lass can solve these issues since we would definitely want to see more of her in the months to come!
Looks like these days Arjun Rampal is taking his superstitions quite seriously. And apparently that's why he wants to stay mum on his allegedly renewed friendship with Shah Rukh Khan

It was almost a year ago when the close friendship between the two actors went kaput.

Recently, SRK even arranged a film screening at his home, Mannat and Arjun's name was believed to be on the guest list. However, after the actor didn't turn up, there were rumours if all was indeed right between them.

Declining to comment on the matter, Arjun says he does not want anyone's buri nazar to affect his close friendship with Shah Rukh.

Says Arjun, `I am close to a lot of people and I believe in nazar. Whenever I talk about my friendships and relationships in public, things seem to go bad.

Perhaps, it's the pressure to live up to people's expectations or simply because others make it a talking point. For me, friendship is a personal matter and that's the way it should remain.`

Filmmaker Aditya Chopra apparently whisked his alleged ladylove Rani Mukerji off for a holiday in the Alps on Saturday morning

While the rest of the industry seems to be in holiday spirits, why should Adi-Rani be left behind?

According to insiders, Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji boarded a flight to Switzerland in the early hours of Saturday. The alleged couple are apparently also celebrating Adi's mother Pamela Chopra's birthday together there.

Also doing the rounds is the rumour that Uday Chopra's alleged girlfriend Nargis Fakhri could also be joining in the family celebrations.

Sources say Pamela had already left for London on Thursday and her sons would be joining her in Switzerland to celebrate her special day today.

This is the late filmmaker Yash Chopra's wife's first birthday after his demise and the family is said to have wanted to bring in the occasion in his favourite place in the world.

An onlooker says, `Aditya and Rani reached the airport at around 1. 30 am. Adi, who came 15 minutes before the actress, sneaked into the airport under the cover of darkness, managing to hoodwink the shutterbugs. Together they boarded the 3 am flight for Switzerland. `

Actress Alia Bhatt, who made her ramp debut with the ongoing India Bridal Fashion Week, has no plan of tying the knot anytime soon but she has decided on everything for her wedding right from her lehenga to jewellery

The 20-year-old 'Student of the Year' star said she will don a Manish Malhotra lehenga for her marriage in near future.

"Though I am too young to get married at this moment and I hate the idea of getting married so soon, but I have decided on my lehenga, colour and jewellery for it. Whenever it happens, my lehenga has to have Manish Malhotra because I relate to his design.

I am not a jewellery person but I will wear those which will enhance my look," Alia told. Malhotra had designed her wardrobe for the Karan Johar's college drama which earned her the tag of the stylish actresses of Bollywood.

Alia dazzled the ramp in a fitted gold gown and presented the luxury jewellery brand Azva's new bridal collection that is inspired from saat pheras (rounds) of Hindu marriage tradition. The range consisted of neckpieces, bracelets, armlets, tiaras and bangles handcrafted with the idea of seven in it.

"This is the first time I am walking the ramp and I am lucky to be a showstopper for the brand. I could not have asked for more than walking the ramp wearing exquisite gold bridal jewellery.

I was nervous and had the biggest fear that I will probably fall but my stars have been kind to me today and I didn't," she said. Asked if she has thought something about her life partner, Alia said, "The biggest that I will consider whether I could connect to him or not.

I don't have any restriction that I will not get married to an actor. The person could be a businessman or a diver," she said.
The Nasha actor lashes out at audiences for not accepting her for what she is
The posters of Nasha reportedly irked the members of a political party so much that they pulled it down. Poonam Pandey, who plays the lead in the erotic thriller, says it has hurt her sentiments. “This has hurt me. I don’t normally allow myself to get affected. But I never expected I’d be targeted this way for my first film. It has made me nervous,” said Poonam.

“I knew I wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms into cinema. I’ve no godfather, no support from the industry. But I didn’t expect to be welcomed in this way. What have I done that is so scandalous? I don’t think I’ve ever crossed limits. I’ve always said more than I’ve done. I’ve seen so many posters and hoardings that are far more suggestive than mine. My posters have nothing scandalous in them. I haven’t shown my private parts.”
After Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra take to biopics on Milkha Singh and Mary Kom respectively, we may see Akshay Kumar play Dara Singh on screen.

Director Rohit Jugraj has approached Dara Singh's son Vindoo with a project, with Akshay Kumar playing the late wrestler-actor.

Apparently, Akshay -- who had wanted to play Milkha Singh -- is keen on playing Dara Singh but he needs time to build his physique.

“Rohit Jugraj has approached me to make a film on my father’s life. Akshay Kumar has been chosen to play my father but he needs to bulk up," Vindoo says. "With all these things happening (Vindoo had been arrested in connection with the IPL spot-fixing controversy), I did not want to embarrass Akshay by connecting with him at that time when the media was hounding me."

Now, the project will take off.

Interestingly, there is another Dara Singh biopic in the pipeline, this one is in Punjabi.

Says Vindoo, “I’ve been approached by the producers of Jatt & Juliet with a Punjabi film where they want Sangram Singh to play my dad. Let’s see which one materialises first."
Kareena is currently promoting her film Satyagraha. Actor Saif Ali Khan loves non-vegetarian food and his actress-wife Kareena Kapoor says he just can't do without eating meat.

"Saif can't be vegetarian, he says he can be vegetarian only for one meal and what that means, I don't understand. He is like, 'I can't not eat meat at night'," the 32-year-old said.

Saif has found new love in kachoris now. "But now Saif has found new love in kachoris and samosas and he gorged on them in Lucknow," said Kareena, who has turned vegetarian.

Kareena is currently busy promoting Prakash Jha's Satyagraha. She is also shooting for Punit Malhotra's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein with Imran Khan.

Saif and Kareena got married in October 2012.
The actress will be seen in the show Ek Muthi Aasman After an extended break of 13 years, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who enjoyed popularity back in the 1980s and 1990s, thanks to films like Bhrashtachar and Kishen Kanhaiya, is ready to bounce back, albeit via the small screen.

The 43-year-old makes an unconventional comeback with the role of a domestic help in new show Ek Muthi Aasman. The show itself is about domestic helps.

"I'm glad that I'm making a comeback with a show that deals with such a strong subject," said Shilpa.

"The TV show deals with the troubles and tribulations that domestic workers go through. Also, through the show, we want to change the mindset of people and tell them that domestic workers are also human beings and they deserve respect and love," she added.

Shilpa, who bid adieu to stardom and settled in London with husband Apresh Ranjit in 2000, plays Kamlabai in the show, which is set in Mumbai.

"My character Kamlabai is an ordinary Maharashtrian domestic help, who works to run her house. She does everything from cooking, cleaning to washing. She has a son. She lives with the dream of giving a better life to her child and seeing him well-settled," said Shilpa.

She promises the show will be replete with "lots of twists and turns", through which "viewers will get to see the ups and downs that a domestic worker goes through".

Shilpa, who also has a nine-year-old daughter named Anushka, shared that back in London, she did all the household chores herself. But now since she has made a recent shift to Mumbai, she has a domestic help who takes care of her house.

"I got married in 2000. My husband and I settled in London. I used to do everything - from cleaning, cooking, ironing, getting petrol filled in the car to washing. But now I have a maid who takes care of things."

"Today I am working because she is there to look after my home and daughter. There's a lot of love, admiration and support (for her). I also tell my daugther to be thankful to the maid always," she said, adding how she will use her personal experience to the character.

With no films in hand, the actress wants to give 100 percent of her focus to the TV show.

She said: "I'm an actor. I don't care if it's TV or films...your work should be interesting. I'am excited for the show and even my daughter is thrilled. She says she would accompany me on the sets on weekends."

Ek Muthi Aasman is likely to go on air in mid-August.

Deepika Padukone has said that her recent career success is down to her hard work.
The actor will be seen next in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan

Padukone told The Times of India: "I won't say I don't want a Rs 100 crore film. Good numbers make everyone happy. As for the final collections, it is for Rohit, Shah Rukh and UTV to be worried about.
"You do celebrate [success] for a while, but then move on. Of course, I have worked hard to get where I am. It hasn't happened by chance."

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt turns 54 today. It's a quiet birthday for the Policegiri actor, who is in Yerwada Central Jail.

He surrendered before a Mumbai Special Court May 16 to serve the remainder of his sentence after his conviction in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
On May 22, he was shifted out of Mumbai's Arthur Road Central Jail and whisked off to Yerawada Central Jail to serve the sentence that remained.

His wife Maanayata is missing Sanjay so much that she recently got his name tattooed on her ring finger. Dutt reportedly got emotional when he heard about it.
Incidentally, a few of his friends from the industry were keen to visit Sanjay on his 54th birthday. But they could not file their applications in time to visit the actor in prison.

This is not the first time when Sanjay Dutt has to celebrate his birthday inside a jail. Earlier, the actor had to celebrate his birthday behind bars in 1995.

Sanjay Dutt was born on July 29, 1959 to Sunil and Nargis Dutt. Sanjay Dutt made his acting debut in 1981. He started as a boy-next-door and played many 'regular' roles during the early period of his career.

When it comes to making TV serials, she is the best. When it comes to producing movies, she is better than the best. TWF correspondent Sreya Basu in conversation with Ekta Kapoor in Mumbai as she relishes the success of Lootera and awaits the release of Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai Dobara

You are considered as an expert when it comes to marketing a film. Do you think spending crores on promotions really work?
See, it depends on the content. If the content is not good, then even if you put a Rs. 5-crore banner or call up somebody, the film won't work.

How is that your marketing fundas always work for your films?
Believe me, I spend the same effort that others put in for their films. I am just being lucky that I get great directors who keep giving me great contents to market. I don't think marketing is anything without great content.

And I have to say I have an incredible team who takes its job very seriously. We are not a company (Balaji Motion Pictures, the sister company of Balaji Telefilms) that has thousands of crores (of money).
We don't have international finances. So when we make a film we try to put as much as we can to see that the works that people like Milan Sir (Luthria, director of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture and Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai Dobara) and Vikramaditya Sir (Motwane, director of Lootera) do, reach maximum people. After that it's the content that does the talking.

What makes you more tensed - release of a new film or airing of a new serial?
Release of a film for sure. It (film production) is like a gamble. Whatever you do on one weekend you come to know this way or that way. On television, the first and the last TRPs (Television Rating Points) can really grow your show.

It is exciting but scary too because for us, it's one Friday. You don't have time to grow it or see how it goes after two weeks or change characterization if it's not working or kill someone and then again bring him/her back . . . it is not happening here.

I was a spoilt brat. While my brother (Tusshar Kapoor) would never tell anyone that he is Jeetendra's son, I will go on flaunting my father's name to everyone. Later I realized it can't be like that. You have to be on your own. And the rest is history. God has been really kind to me.

You once said you enjoy clubbing as much as you like visiting temples.
Unfortunately, I don't enjoy going to clubs any more. But then, who says if you are religious, you can't enjoy yourself. If I feel like, I will go to Siddhivinayak (temple) on Tuesday and to a club on Wednesday.

Nobody can dare stop me. You should not categorize a person. But this is the problem of our society today. That is why, if a girl wears a short skirt, she is put in a particular category.

And if you go to a mandir, you are also categorized. It is wrong. I can enjoy an adult comedy and pray to God with similar aplomb.

New Delhi: Bollywood diva and style icon, Kareena Kapoor, was in conversation with the world on Twitter last week, and we managed to pick her best tweets for her fans.

The strategy was devised by UTV Motion Pictures to promote their film ‘Satyagraha’ via Twitter, and therefore, Bebo was invited to connect with people as much as possible to spread the message of the film.

It was an open online Q & A session, and Kareena all in a mood to answer a lot of questions thrown before her, by tweeting through UTV’s official Twitter handle. Besides, talking about the film, the actress also revealed some interesting fact about her personal life and her hubby dearest Saif.

Kareena said that she loves gorging on Italian food and her favourite colour choices are White, Blue and Orange.

Unlike other famous Bollywood celebs, Kareena is not a social networking person. She is neither on Facebook nor on Twitter. But she hinted at the possibility of joining Twitter someday. She said, “Maybe I will join Twitter after today, depends how nice everyone is to me! :).”

She further answered one of her fan tweets asking about her role in ‘Satyagraha’ by saying, “I had fun playing a journo in #Satyagraha so now maybe I can consider it as a 2nd choice for a career! :) #Kareena.”

And for those who have been waiting to see the Begum and her Nawab together in a film, it seems that the time is yet to come as Kareena denied any possibility of working with Saif in the days to come. “I don`t think Saif believes that we`ll look good in a film together! He`s busy with his leading ladies ;) #Kareena,” said the actress.
New Delhi: While the surfacing of Katrina and Ranbir’s Ibiza beach vacation pictures has left us wondering about how the couple would be reacting to their breach of privacy, the truth is that Katrina is in fact fine with the leakage of the holiday pictures.

An online entertainment tabloid reports that Katrina was heard speaking to a friend of hers that the pictures have hit many birds with one stone: a) That Salman Khan is out, and Ranbir is in and the couple is very much in love b) The rumours of Ranbir getting close with Deepika during the success bash of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ are nothing but false.

The daily also reports that although Kat is not fine with the way the pictures were taken, given the fact that the couple was unaware during the entire happenings, still the pretty actress is relieved that the message is out and clear – she and Ranbir are serious for each other!

These days, the lovebirds are in Sri Lanka, where Ranbir is shooting for ‘Bombay Velvet’ with Anushka Sharma. So, it is a complete work cum romance trip for Ranbir
Mumbai, July 27 -- A few days ago, they met at an iftar party and hugged. But the two Khans - Shah Rukh and Salman - may not have imagined that their momentary act of affection will make big news. Although neither of them have talked about it, the third big Khan, Aamir, has expressed his happiness over the much publicised hug.

At the premiere of Issaq, held in Mumbai on July 25, Aamir said, "Jab dosti hoti hai, aur log gale milte hai to acchi baat hai. Mujhe bahut khushi hoti hai. Aur mujhe badi khushi hai (when friendships are struck and people hug each other, it's a good thing. It makes me very happy. I am very pleased (about the hug)."
