Aamir Khan travelled to Bihar to promote the second season of his upcoming issue-based show, 'Satyamev Jayate'.

However, on his way from Patna, to Gehlaur in Gaya, he took the wrong road and travelled in the opposite direction for quite a while. Soon a quick U-turn was taken. I am guessing this is a new experience for Aamir, who might walk the untrodden path once in a while, but never the one to take unknown ones.

However, the effort seemed worth it, as when he reached the spot where 'Mountain Man' Dashrath Manjhi spent 22 years of his life to make a road through a mountain for the villagers, there was already a sea of people gathered to get a glimpse of the actor.
‘Friends’ star Lisa Kudrow has lost a USD 1.6 million lawsuit against her former manager, Scott Howard.
A jury at a LA Superior Court ruled against the 50-year-old actress yesterday and asked her to pay Howard USD 1.6 million after Kudrow was found liable for the breach of contract, reported Ace Showbiz.
Howard and Kudrow parted ways in 2007 after 16 years of partnership. In 2008, Howard filed the lawsuit, claiming that Kudrow stopped paying him.
According to Howard, he and the actress had an oral agreement in which he’s owed five per cent of her earnings made from works she gained while they were working together.
“The jury’s verdict is merely one step in the legal process. This case ultimately will be resolved at the appellate level,” Kudrow’s attorney Gerard Sauer said.
“Ms Kudrow has faith in the judicial system, and she believes that the eventual outcome of this contractual dispute will be in her favour,” he added.
It seems to be the season of remakes in Telugu cinema.  Films made in Hindi and Malayalam will be seen in Telugu shortly with big superstars playing lead roles.

Superstars Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan are acting in a Telugu film based on the Hindi film Oh My God. The film will be produced by Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions and Sharrath Marar of Northstar Entertainment.

As we have reported before, Venkatesh will be playing the role of Mohanlal in the remake of Drishyam.

The Hindi film Aashiqui 2 starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor will be remade by producer Bandla Ganesh in Telugu with Sachiin Joshi (Ninu Choodaka Nenundalenu and Orey Pandu) in the lead.

Bandla Ganesh will be supervising the film produced by Viking Media. The film is likely to enter the production phase in March.
This year marks a decade since Soha Ali Khan made her acting debut.

But the actress is yet to figure out why she opted to make her debut with 2004 film Dil Maange More, which had three heroines in the lead.

The 35-year-old actress, who was new to Bollywood at that time, said it was a terrible decision.

"I don't know why I chose to make my debut with Dil Maange More. The film had three leading ladies -- Tulip Joshi, Ayesha Takia and me -- opposite Shahid Kapoor. I was fresh to Bollywood at that time because I had just come back from England and had no clue about hero-heroine dynamics in India," Soha said here while discussing the portrayal of women in cinema and TV at an event.

Soha said she took the film because she found her character progressive because she dumps her boyfriend over her career.

"When I was asked a character out of three, I chose Neha because she is ambitious. At an young age of 21, she chooses her career over boyfriend. It was again a wrong decision taken by me because in Hindi films, actresses keep their partner over any other thing," she said.

But the War Chod Na Yaar actress is happy that cinema has changed over the years and she gets to play strong characters.

Prachi Desai played celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Akhtar's muse for a photo shoot which was inspired by Maharani Gayatri Devi.

The two go back a long way when Prachi made her B-Town debut in the 2008 film 'Rock On!!' which had Adhuna's husband Farhan Akhtar as her co-star.
The actress and the stylist share a warm rapport so when she needed someone who could exude royalty, Adhuna felt Prachi was an apt choice.
A little over three years old in the film industry, Sonakshi Sinha has already proved her acting chops.

But very few people know that she is an artist too. She tells us, `Since childhood, I have always enjoyed sketching and drawing. Even now, if I have a pen in my hand, I will start doodling instinctively.

At a recent art event, I just came up with a rough sketch of a girl, which was mistaken for a self-portrait (laughs).

While shooting for Dabangg, I would see Salman (Khan) paint. He gave me a few tips on drawing and even taught me a bit about charcoal painting.

I have not yet been able to put that knowledge to use though.

A birdie chirps to say that newcomer Meera Chopra who features in Satish Kaushik's upcoming film 'Gang of Ghosts' wants to now steer clear of controversies.

There has been a great deal of speculation about her relationship with her famous cousins - Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra.

As each is busy with their own lives, the starlet feels it does not warrant any cause for concern or conspiracy theories. Priyanka's dad Ashok and Meera's father Sudesh are first cousins. Meera has earlier done films in the South.
Considering that it is a new beginning for Meera in B-Town, looks like she is now keen to let bygones be bygones. Hmmm...

Mumbai: Aamir Khan said here today that he doesn`t support any political party and would not align with any of them at an event related to his TV show `Satyamev Jayate`.
"I want to be away from politics. I want to align with issues that are important. I support a thought and not a party. I want to support an issue irrespective of any political party. I would not wish to align with any party," Aamir said.

Aamir claimed that he cried during the show, while talking about a touching incident of forgiveness.
"I felt I cried too much on the show. I am an emotional person. I cry when I hear heartbreaking stories. There are times when I cried and the channel people cut that part as 15 minutes of crying is too much, since there are other important issues to talk about," he said.

Aamir said that he visited Gaya in Bihar yesterday to announce the second season of the `Satyamev Jayate` TV show, from the very spot where one Dashrath Manjhi broke a mountain and made a road for villagers.

It has also been decided to air the second season of the show in three slots, so that people could absorb the issue, he said.
Incidentally, Aamir is also one among the many people who sang the title track of `Satyamev Jayate 2`.

Mumbai: Newcomer Siddharth Malhotra says he wants to be appreciated for his work than his looks.
Siddharth made a successful acting debut with Karan Johar`s `Student of the year`. His next film, the recently released `Hasee Toh Phasee`, was also a hit.

"I am just a newcomer and at this juncture. I am craving for appreciation of my acting skills than looks and the numbers (collection) a film achieves at the box office). It is important to be accepted by the audience," Siddharth said.
"I am not aiming to do a film that will give lot of money... I am not thinking about the business angle of a film. I am happy that in `Hasee Toh Phasee` people got convinced with my character and went beyond my looks and what I was wearing," he said.

On the view of some people that in `Hasee Toh Phasee`, the lead actress Parineeti Chopra outshone him with her performance, Siddharth says, "A film is a team effort.... It is not that only she was there in the film alone. Everybody worked towards the film. I am happy her work was also liked by people."

The romantic comedy was produced by Johar and Anurag Kashyap`s Phantom. Released on February 7, the film directed by debutant director Vinil Mathew and has reportedly earned over Rs 30 crore.

On the day of the release, Siddharth was quite nervous as it was his first solo hero film.

"It is important to have something interesting in romantic-comedy as this space is tapped several times on screen. For us luckily, the story clicked with the audience. Even the characters that we played were accepted," he said.

Siddharth would be seen next in Mohit Suri`s `The Villian`.
Of late, I have developed a fancy for lip reading. These days, while watching TV, I put it on mute and try to decode what the characters are saying from their lip movement.

It is very fascinating and I am getting quite good at it, too. Even at parties, I watch and read lips. I developed this hobby after getting into theatre
Labeled as one of Bollywood’s best dancers, Shahid Kapoor celebrates his 33rd birthday today. Having given some of hs best performances in his career and having dated some of the most beautiful women in the industry, we take a look at some of the important aspects in the actor’s life from over the years.
South Indian protagonists in Hindi films, right down to Deepika Padukone in Chennai Express have followed Mehmood’s role model in Padosan.
That’s about to change.
Even as her performance in Highway gets her raves, Alia Bhatt is all set to wow critics and fans with her performance as a Tamilian wife in Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar’s first joint production 2 States.
Apparently, the role of the young Tamilian wife is based on writer Chetan Bhagat’s own wife. Alia was asked to play her part as normally as the real-life Mrs. Bhagat.
Shedding light on the triumph that awaits Alia around the corner, producer Sajid Nadiadwala says, “Alia has played the first non-caricatural South Indian character in our films. Normally when we show South Indians in our films they have thick accent, and if it’s a woman from the South she will have gajra in her hair and will go ‘Aiyo’ every five minutes. Alia does none of that.”
The two-film old actress was told to play the character without the props of broad character traits.
“How do I explain this? Alia is Tamilian and she even talks in Tamil. But she behaves like a normal city wife,” says Sajid.
Apparently Alia was asked to strictly not do a Deepika Padukone kind of ‘bokwas’ accent from Chennai Express.
Alia admits it was difficult to not lapse into caricature while doing a South Indian character. “I was not allowed to be culture-specific in 2 States in my body-language or my accent. Yes, I am a Tamilian in 2 States. But I don’t make a show of my regional roots. It is tough because when you are not resorting to speech and behaviourial props, you have no handy tools to give personality to your character.”

The two look cute together in the trailer and songs released so far and we hope they manage to impress us when we watch the film in the theatres. Since Bewakoofiyaan is releasing next month, we thought of having fun in our way. Hence we translated the song Khamakhaan in English word-to-word just for all our readers. So read the below angrezi version right away and have fun!

The two competitors played out a tussle of sorts, style wise that is, to grab out attention. You tell us who between the two impressed you more with her unique fashion sense!
Even when the two arch-rivals of their times-Madhuri Dixit Nene and Juhi Chawla- looked their amicable best while sharing the couch on the popular chat show Koffee with Karan, the tension in the air was palpable. Both Mads and Juhi looked cordial, warm and welcoming to each other, but the residue of their not-so-friendly equation from the past was showing its effect- no matter what and no matter how the duo was trying to conceal their true sentiments towards each other oh-so-cleverly and discreetly.

But more than their much talked about animosity, we were more interested in knowing who will turn up their sartorially sensible avatars to steam it up with KJo.

While the dhak-dhak girl was glowing (thanks to some miracle bronzer or skin polishing) as she dazzled us with her million dollar smile that the diva wore with a beautifully crafted Sabyasachi saree. The cream coloured drape with thick gold bordered and a hint of pink hue thrown in matched the sleevless pink blouse. The dangling earrings only added more drama to the glam look. But Mads carried the ensemble only the way she can-with lots of charm, royalty and oomph.

Juhi on the other hand chose to wear an intricately designed maroon anarkali. The full-sleeved creation with intricate gold embroidery with royal blue pleats at the centre of the suit made Juhi look classy. The star really knows how to dress her age. The buttons, the floral work on the garment and the full sleeves only made Juhi look elegant and chic.

With his straight-faced jokes Farhan Akhtar found an easy bakra (scapegoat) in me, says Vidya Balan, his co-star in the upcoming film `Shaadi Ke Side Effects`."I love to laugh and Farhan loves to make people laugh so the `funda` was very clear. He found an easy `bakra` in me. I enjoyed his sense of humour. He has a very sharp mind. I have seen the film and I am glad that we got together for this one where the comedy is very true to real life," Vidya told PTI in an interview.

Having been a fan of Farhan`s earlier films like `Luck By Chance` and `Zindagi Milegi Naa Dobaara`, Vidya says they were well-matched in the Saket Chaudhary-directed comedy, a genre which is relatively new for both the actors.

"Farhan is one of those actors who are subtle even in comedy. It is effortless and yet it makes you laugh. He is supremely talented in a multi-dimensional way.

"Acting is about reacting. This film would have suffered if any of us was out of tune but we were well-matched in it. We were completely tuned into each other which is great as an actor. We complimented each other.

The 36-year-old actress, who got married to UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012, signed up the film a few months after the marriage but she does not believe her marriage life influenced the character she is playing in the film.

"I have played a married woman in many films. My first film was called `Parineeta-the married woman`. I don`t know whether I brought in my personal experiences into the film as it did not require that. Most love relationships are quite similar in many ways.
