The producer went through a harrowing experience on Wednesday afternoon when she encountered a 'stalker' during a media interaction at Balaji House. She was talking about the integration of her reality game show, 'Box Cricket League' with 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' when she saw a middle-aged man clicking her photographs at a fervent pace.

An eyewitness says, "He was standing in a corner and clicking away her photos. Ekta screamed causing the man to panic. He dropped his identity card and mobile phone, and fled from the place. We found out that he was an imposter, posing as a scribe of a Bollywood trade paper. His phone contained several photographs of Ekta from various events." Shiv Kumar, an employee of the paper in question, says,

"That man is abnormal and has been chasing Ekta Kapoor since a long time. The identity card that he carries to enter various film events and parties is fake. He has also been beaten up by security personnel earlier. I hope Ekta takes strict action against him." Sources say the man, estimated to be in his mid 30s, was spotted outside Ekta's house on Sunday. "He had been following her for some time. He is mostly seen outside her office and residence," the source adds. Ekta is learnt to have told her security personnel to keep an eye out for the man.

Like with her very next release Piku, the actress says she is extremely nervous about how her character will be received by the audiences.

After working with Salman Khan in Kick, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to share screen space with the actor in Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The film will roll in Delhi on November 3 but Nawazuddin will join the unit in January. As per the reports, Nawaz has a pivotal role in the film. Director Kabir Khan was very impressed with Salman and his chemistry in Kick and thought he would be ideal for this political drama.

"I first worked with Nawaz in New York. This was well before he became a break through acting force. I wanted to do another film with him but there was nothing apt for an actor of his caliber in Ek Tha Tiger or Phantom. I've finally found an intriguing part for him in Bajrangi Bhaijaan," Kabir Khan was quoted by a leading daily.

After the release of his big-ticket picture Happy New Year, Sonu Sood has pressed the "pause" button in his career. The idea is to watch the audience and the film trade's reaction to his performance in the movie and to take his career to the next level.

"I am looking at HNY as a cut-off point in my career. I am hoping that one phase of my professional life has ended and a new one will begin. I've therefore signed no films after HNY. I want to see the reaction to my performance as one of the film's protagonists," said Sonu.

Sonu confesses that the confidence to take such a big decision comes from Shah Rukh Khan who has produced the film and also acted in it.

"It is to his credit that he gave me prominence in the promotions and marketing of Happy New Year. He praises my performance at every given opportunity. That has boosted my self confidence. I've done dozens of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films in strong supporting roles, both negative and positive. It's time for me to take the lead now," he said.

Hopefully, Happy New Year would do the trick for Sonu.

"I can't believe audiences are clapping and cheering at my entry. It's almost unreal. It's time for me to indulge in some serious herogiri," said the actor who visited theatres to see the response.

"The break between what I've done before Happy New Year and what I'll do after would be decisive," he added.
The grapevine is abuzz that Nargis Fakhri and Uday Chopra are back as a couple, but the latter wonders if he’s “relevant” enough for the media to write about him or not.

“People write so much crazy stuff about me. It makes me think that they still feel I’m relevant, even though I don’t,” Uday tweeted.
The actor, last seen on the big screen in ‘Dhoom 3′, currently heads the international arm of his home banner Yash Raj Films.

New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan, who has teamed up with Govinda for the first time in upcoming romantic-comedy 'Happy Ending', says the 'Hero No 1' actor is the most authentic star of the Hindi film industry.

Saif, 44, said he felt like a child to share screen space with Govinda as he is a brilliant dancer and actor. "I really respect his work and it's amazing to watch him dance. I was trying to learn something from him. I felt bit of a kid and excited especially when he was dancing. He is a genuine star and I am happy to dance next to him," Saif told reporters.

Directed by 'Go Goa Gone' filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, 'Happy Ending' is a multi-starrer funny take on romance and relationship. The film is expected to hit theatres on November 21.

Govinda, 50, is making a comeback to full-fledged acting after a gap of three years. Next month he would be seen in two back-to-back films -- 'Kill Dill' and 'Happy Ending'.
Saif, who is also one of the producers of the film, said Govinda was apt for the film because the scenes between them looked very natural and effortless.

"It is actually really funny because if you watch the film there were atleast three-four major scenes between us. It was not that we were putting some effort to do a shot.

"It was just like I am reacting to him. My acting was kind of very straight face and subtle. Whereas his was more front-bencher. It was a good mix. It was like two people from two different planets," he said.

'Happy Ending' also stars Ileana D'Cruz, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin in prominent roles besides Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor making guest appearances.

HNY has become the highest opening weekend ranker in Indian films so far. Venky Mysore, CEO RCE said, “We are thrilled that after Chennai Express had set a new record in 2013, Happy New Year has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience.” Gaurav Verma, Chief Revenue Officer RCE said, “We are thankful to all our partners, exhibitors and especially YRF for helping us achieve this significant milestone.”

You might be surprised to know that some of his paintings have fetched as much as Rs 2.5 crore.

After he was almost the owner of a football team, Salman Khan will now be seen playing the game in the film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The actor wasn't able to buy an ISL (India Super League) team, owing to his association with other brands. However, Sooraj Barjatya, who is directing Salman in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, has a football-twist for the actor.

As per a Mumbai-based tabloid, Barjatya is to include a song in his next, which will mirror the cricket song 'Dhik Tana' in his Hum Aapke Hai Koun...! that had entertained many back then. This time around, the song will feature football, the flavour of the season. And no, the actors will not be seen in football gear in the song; they will be dressed in traditional Indian attire.

So, while the ladies in the song will probably be seen dressed in sarees and lehngas and the like, a sherwani might end up being Sallu's football-playing dress!

"As an actor, I feel that having done a big film, Happy New Year, I wanted to do a cozy film which is intense and yet commercially viable. Maneesh came out of the blue and he reminded me of a subject he had narrated eight years ago," the 48-year-old told reporters in a group interview.

Haider had a good third weekend and the film remained steady over its 3rd Monday too. The film collected 46 lacs on Monday and now stands with a total collections of 57.69 crores at the domestic box office.

This Shahid Kapoor starrer has been riding high on a positive word of mouth and maintained itself all through its box office journey.

The film started off on a good note and maintained a steady pace at the box office. It has given a tough competition to Bang Bang. Due to the new releases performing extremely low the film retained almost all its screens and benefited from it.

With the release of Happy New Year this week, looks like Haider will settle for a lifetime business of 60 crores at the domestic box office.
Bang Bang continued to remain steady over the 3rd Tuesday. The film collected approx 1.30 crores on Tuesday. The film now stands with a total collection of 176.02 crores at the domestic box office.

The film has crossed a good 175 crore mark but clearly it will not be making it to the 200 crore club.

Mumbai: Characters that actors essay in films often become an integral part of their lives. And for Priyanka Chopra, this isn’t any different.

The very talented actress is proud to have been associated with the remake of ‘Don’. The film completes 8 years on Monday and this has made PeeCee nostalgic.

‘Don’ directed by Farhan Akhtar was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster namesake film. It went on to become one of the super hit films featuring Bollywood’s Badshah- SRK, Arjun Rampal, Isha Koppikar and Boman Irani.
Mumbai: If there is anyone, who has made reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ a household name, it is none other than Salman Khan. The hunk of an actor, who is hosting the show for the fifth consecutive time, has impressed one and all with his spontaneity and humour

Parineeti is gearing up for her next- ‘Kill Dil’- which also features Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Govinda. She may soon be seen on the sets of ‘Bigg Boss 8’ to promote the film which is slated to release on November 14.

But we are sure, most people would agree with Pari’s views on Salman Khan.

Bollywood's growing interest in biopics is paving way for more director's coming up with the idea of making movies inspired by lives of eminent personalities. And the newest entrant to this category of films seems to be actress Rani Mukerji.

Rani, who was last seen playing a cop in Mardaani, might next be seen on the other side of the fence, playing underworld queen Haseena Parkar, the younger sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who was known as the 'Godmother of Nagpada', an area in South Mumbai.

Haseena came into limelight when her husband Ismail Parkar was shot dead in 1991, and her brother Dawood avenged his killers by shooting them down soon after.

Thereafter, she ran her crime syndicate in Nagpada, being involved in extortion and Hawala racket. Haseena died of a cardiac arrest on July 4 this year.

Director Apoorva Lakhia feels Rani will do complete justice to the role of Haseena on the silver screen.

Rani Mukerji on the other hand, has neither accepted or denied being a part of the biopic on Haseena Parkar.

With sports biopics like Chak De India (on hockey player Mir Ranjan Negi), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (on sprinter Milkha Singh) and Mary Kom (on boxer Mary Kom) winning accolades from the masses and critics alike, the biopic frenzy is reaching an altogether different level in Bollywood. Actor Abhishek Bachchan is also planning to produce a biopic on cricketer Yuvraj Singh. (Also read- More Women Should Join the Police Force: Rani Mukerji)

Actress Priyanka Chopra has been the most recent actress to have played the lead role in a biopic. With the success of Mary Kom, she proved her mettle as a versatile and hard-working actress.

It is yet to be seen if combining a biopic and a woman-centric film will work wonders for Apoorva or not, considering that women-centric films like Queen, Mardaani, Mary Kom and Khoobsurat have fared well at the box office this year.
Actress Deepika Padukone has certainly come a long way and proved her mettle with variety in her performances in the last few years. The actress admits that she values appreciation for her work more than anything else.

"Appreciation is important. What do we work for? If I work hard for my film and if my work is not appreciated, then what is the point," Deepika said in a group interview.

"In fact, money is the least important thing and success also is not so important. The love and appreciation that we get, is important and valuable," she added.

The actress came with a bang in the Bollywood with a double role in Om Shanti Om, but post that, she was panned by critics for being wooden-faced.

But tables turned when she sailed through her roles in films like Cocktail, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

Even critics marvelled at her improved skills, but the model-turned-actress says "being a heroine is not easy".

"It looks very glamorous and looks like a great life, but there is a lot of hard work behind it," said badminton legend Prakash Padukone's daughter, who had an easy entry in tinsel town, but had to go through the grind to find a firm foothold in the film industry.

Deepika feels "proud" to have "a comfortable roof" on her head - something which she couldn't "afford" earlier.

"At the end of the day, we have to lead a decent lifestyle. But all I am trying to say is that the most important thing is appreciation," she added.

Her recent choice of films has resonated well with the audience as well as the box office, but Deepika doesn't make conscious efforts to choose films that can impact box office.

"I don't choose films based on whether it's going to do business of Rs 100 crore or Rs 200 crore. If so, then we are doing films for the wrong reasons.

"For me, box office is not important in the process of making a film. If I'm being true to the film, then it's good. You have to choose films from your heart.

"A film should be done for the script. The destiny of the film is different, but I have to enjoy the process," she said.

Her next release Happy New Year, one of the most talked about film in Bollywood as of now, is releasing on October 24, a day after Diwali. She will be seen with her Om Shanti Om co-star Shah Rukh Khan in it.

Deepika says director Farah Khan was looking for a new girl for the mega-budget movie with multiple stars before casting her.

She said "They wanted a new girl in the beginning. After Chennai Express, I got a call from Farah, and she said she wants me in her film. I didn't even hear the narration and said, 'Yes', and luckily, the dates worked out," she said.

"It happened last minute. They didn't find a girl and they came to me and I am happy that I could fit the part," she added.

Her immediate nod came because of her bonding with Shah Rukh and Farah Khan since her Om Shanti Om days.

"Farah and Shah Rukh gave me such a beautiful launch, they had presented me so well. They took such good care of me. They understand the responsibility that this girl's career is in their hands," she said, and added that she will be thankful to both of them irrespective of the box office performance of Happy New Year.

Happy New Year also features actors Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff.
Actress Richa Chadda's British film, which also features actor Akshay Oberoi, is titled Bombairiya. As the title suggests, the film is an ode to Mumbai and will be shot in the financial capital itself.

The movie is being directed by debutante director Pia Sukanya. So what's the British connection? The film, slated to go on floors in December, is being produced by India-born British producer Michael Ward.

"It's true that the development financing of the film is British, but Richa and Akshay are both on the rise in commercial Hindi cinema and that is why we cast them. We also have other supremely talented actors in leading roles in Bombairiya and we shall reveal who they are shortly," Michael said in a statement.

"Both Pia and I are essentially Indian at heart and Mumbai is an integral part of our being. Pia's story is inspired by a real life incident that took place in Mumbai and this gave her the opportunity to weave in various other facets of this remarkable city," he added.

The Tamanchey actress is excited to work on a different story and states that one of the things that attracted her to do the film was its "universal appeal".

"I'm thrilled to collaborate creatively with Michael and Pia, and they have an exceptional script. I am quite choosy about my work and I think this is one of the best scripts I have read in recent times. Also, I am excited to work with the actors associated with the film. It has a great story with immense universal appeal," Richa said.

The original dancing hero of Bollywood - Govinda -  is all set to join the Twitter bandwagon. With most of     the B-Town celebs bitten by the social media bug, it's now Chi Chi bhaiya's turn to interact directly with his   fans.
Govinda, who did a cameo in Akshay Kumar's 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty', will now be seen in    a full-fledged role soon. Shaad Ali's directorial venture 'Kill Dil' has Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and   Parineeti Chopra in lead roles.

Govinda, will be seen playing baddie after a long time. The latest news of him joining the micro-blogging site   was posted by the official Twitter handle of 'Kill Dil' film and also a hint was dropped by peppy actress         Parineeti Chopra. Here's what they posted:
The 'baap' of all reality shows, 'Bigg Boss' doesn't fail to impress its dedicated viewer base. Last night's episode saw a few loud moments between the inmates and the new entrant Ali Quli Mirza. If making him the captain was not enough, Ali makes sure that he orders the inmates, and if they don't take his order—he punishes them like school children.

It was shown last night, that inmates Soni Singh and Minissha Lamba were punished by the captain, and were asked to stay outside in the garden area for sometime. However, both the ladies could not stop cribbing about the entire incident. While Minissha called it a 'boarding school', Soni termed it as 'boring school'.

Soon afterwards, what followed was pure drama. Ali ordered Diandra Soares to not burn the candles inside the house, and do it outside. However, when Diandra tried to explain him the reason, he asked her to stand in a corner with her hands raised upwards. The supermodel refused to obey the captain, who started shouting and told 'D' (she is fondly called) to stop giving off that 'attitude'.

Diandra dramatically answered him back saying, 'this is my attitude'. Well, with the loud-game just begun, we are waiting for more such stories to unfold
