Salman Khan says that he is ready to take the blame for his much-talked about film 'Jai Ho' not getting the expected big opening at the box office.

'Jai Ho', the first big-budget release of 2014, could not get a bumper start unlike the recent Salman Khan-starrers such as 'Wanted', 'Bodyguard' and 'Dabangg'. The Sohail Khan-directed film earned Rs 17 crore on the opening day. "The overall collections of the film matter. I am not affected by the figures of my film. If the film gets a good opening, it's good. If it doesn't, nobody has failed but me. I could not give the reason for people to perhaps see the film.

No one can predict the collections of a film. We have made a beautiful and a good film. It is entertaining film with a dose of action and it also gives a good message," Salman said at an event here.
"Perhaps I have failed in bringing in the people. We tried to do something different and may be people did not want to see the film as they expected to see a 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguyard' kind of a film.

They wanted to enjoy. Some people understood that this is not that kind of film and that it is a serious film," he said. "We are also confused with the reaction we are getting from theatres and the collections are not matching up. It is strange combination," Salman said.

On Monday morning Poonam Pandey woke up to the shock of her life when her team informed her that her website had been hacked.

The vandalism would not have been so worrisome had the hackers not left pro-Pakistan messages on her hacked website. The slogans which had been overnight plastered on her website included , 'Pakistan Zindabad' and 'Rise(sic.) a voice for justice of (sic) Kashmir.'

Poonam feels these messages are from militants.

"We will reveal more details soon but right now I am very happy with the response to the trailer. Till now I have worked with Sunny Deol and now he is working in my first film. It is a big thing for me," the 38-year-old said here Sunday at the Worli Food Festival.

"The film is good. I never thought that my first film will be an action-mystery. I always thought that if ever I make a film it would be a comedy or a love story. But I loved the script of 'Dishkiyaaoon' so much that I wanted people to know the story," said Shilpa.

If recent incidents in the industry are anything to go by, publicity stunts have hit a new low. The latest news has it that Sunny Leone's 'expensive, top-of-the-line lingerie' went missing from the sets of her upcoming film, 'Ragini MMS-2

The source says that after some scenes of Sunny wearing grey coloured lingerie were shot, the crew was aghast to see the same missing from the sets. `Sunny is extremely particular about her lingerie and likes to wearing the best brands. Accordingly, lingerie from Victoria's Secret -costing approximately Rs 50,000 - was ordered online,` says the source, adding that when the same was stolen from the sets, the producers had to order the same product again.
The source says that they also had to cough up a premium in order to facilitate early shipping. `Security on the sets has now been beefed up as well in a bid to prevent such unusual thefts,` says the source.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the production house has faced such a problem. A similar incident took place last year on the sets of the film, 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum', when Sarah Jane Dias was shooting her scenes in Goa. It seems that the actress, who was carrying her own designer lingerie, misplaced the same while travelling from one location to another.
When contacted, Tanuj Garg, CEO of the production house, didn't reveal much about the theft on the sets of Sunny's film. `My production informed me of some such incident and extra precautions were taken,` was his reply. Upon being asked about Sarah's similar loss last year, Garg said, `Fortunately or unfortunately, it's a coincidence.`

If this is not a publicity gimmick, then the company has to hunt down that someone with a fetish amidst the unit members.
LALAH HATHAWAY POSES IN THE PRESS ROOM WITH THE AWARD FOR BEST R&B PERFORMANCE FOR `SOMETHING` AT THE 56TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS AT STAPLES CENTER IN LOS ANGELES.
Los Angeles: Pop star Beyonce Knowles` rauchy performance was slammed by many fans especially concerned parents.
The 32-year-old singer wore a revealing black thong bodysuit over fishnet tights to perform a rendition of her hit `Drunk In Love` alongside husband Jay Z, who was clad in a tuxedo.

She began the performance straddling a chair, before writhing around and dancing up to her husband.

Many parents took to Twitter to complain that the dance routine was too raunchy for children to watch.

One fan posted, "Sorry Beyonce! Class always wins. It wins for our children. Sad day when our kids can`t even watch the Grammy`s."

"Beyonce... There might be children watching," said another fan about the mother-of-one.

"Watching the Grammys at 8pm with my children (music lovers) performance by Beyonce and her lack of clothing very inappropriate, she`s a mom?" a fan tweeted.

Last year, pop star Miley Cyrus faced intense criticism for her twerking at the Video Music Awards.

Vishakha Singh has a string of releases coming up, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The leggy actress on the juggling act Vishakha Singh had thought there will be no turning back to movies after her debut film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se bombed at the box office in 2010. But destiny had other plans.

At the moment, Vishakha is busy juggling Bollywood with the South Indian film industry. `I don't believe in planning my life now. I have always gone with my gut instinct. My parents say that the right thing happens at the right time,` she says. The Fukrey actress recently did a Tamil film and is currently shooting for a Telugu film Rowdy Fellow. But she is most excited about The Maya Tape, a psychological thriller that also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Over to Vishakha:
Year 2013 wasn't the best for Neil Nitin Mukesh. Three of his films - "David", "3G" and "Shortcut Romeo" led to many thinking that he has exhausted his career opportunities, but the handsome actor says he's just six years old in the industry and he shouldn't be written off just like that.

"Please don't make the mistake of writing me off," said the well-spoken Neil, who turned 32 on Jan 15.

The fact that his three back-to-back films bombed at the box office in a year full of big screen gems triggered speculation on his box office status and future in cinema.

But he laughs off speculation about his exit from movies.

"Tell me, which showbiz personality doesn't face ups and downs in his career? My grandfather, the great singer Mukesh was out of work for five years until the songs of 'Kabhi Kabhi' brought him back with a bang. People want to portray me as a poor loser? So be it. Let them be happy at my expense," he said.

Neil knows he doesn't sell as a solo hero.

"Sure, I did three solo-hero films in 2013. But ensemble casts have never been a problem for me. If they were a problem, I wouldn't have done 'New York' with John Abraham or 'Players' with Abhishek Bachchan. The character, and not footage or billing is my thing. In 'Players', I took on the role of a sleazy villain. Which other leading man would do that?"

Besides, he has no regrets about being a part of his three under-performing films in 2013.
"Bejoy Nambiar's 'David' is a film I will be proud of for as long as I live. So what if it didn't work? My performance was deeply satisfying to me. Then, '3G' was a horror film. I had never attempted that genre before and I think it didn't lose any money for its producers.

"As for 'Shortcut Romeo', it was designed as a massy film with plenty of oomph and music. Bad marketing did the film in," he said in his analysis and added: "I know it's easy to look for scapegoats and do post-mortems about unsuccessful films. But I genuinely feel I didn't make a mistake with my films so far".

"Look, I am only six years old in the film industry. And I've worked back-to-back with nine national award winning directors. Now it's time for me to work with the newer directors," he said.

His forthcoming films "Ishqeria" and "Dussehra" are with new directors and he is aware he needs to "buck up".
Monica Bedi, who returned to the popular TV show 'Saraswatichandra', says she never felt sidelined by her co-actress Jennifer Winget.

However, she has rubbished all these reports. "Guman and Kumud are very different characters. Each has its own importance. So there is no question of being sidelined. It is not true that I felt sidelined," Monica told PTI. But she is back on the show after five months.

"The track further is very interesting. I am excited and eagerly waiting to begin. It has its own drama involved and I am sure everyone will love it," Monica said. Monica made her debut on small screen with a daily soap 'Saraswatichandra'. She played a negative role in the show and garnered good response.
"I was always confident about Guman's character. What was overwhelming was the love and constant support given to me by my fans. The role of Guman made many recognise my talent," she added. The show is currently on air on Star Plus channel.
