After Priyanka Chopra, Kalki Koechlin attends TIFF for her film Margarita, With a Straw

Kalki Koechlin is going places with her talent. Not only has her foray into films been successful, her tryst with theatre has also been quite fulfilling. After wrapping up a show of her play Trivial Disasters which also stars Richa Chadda, in Bangalore, Kalki rushed to catch a flight to Toronto where she was scheduled to attend the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival.

At TIFF, Kalki slipped into a gorgeous Sabyasachi couture gown to present her upcoming film Margarita, With a Straw.

She plays the role of a rebellious young woman named Laila Kapoor who suffers from cerebral palsy. Laila leaves her home in India to study in New York where she unexpectedly falls in love and embarks on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery. This coming of age film also stars 2 States actress Revathi playing the role of Laila’s mother.
